Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, 13 September: Plan to arrive Auckland today. Tonight we stay at the Spencer Hotel and get to know the group over dinner.
Day 2, 14 September: We journey from Auckland to Paihia via Whangarei. On arrival explore the hotel grounds and get acquainted with your surroundings. Copthorne Waitangi Hotel.
Day 3, 15 September: Today we take a leisurely cruise around the Bay of Islands in search of Dolphins.
Day 4, 16 September: This morning we drive North from Paihia to Mangonui via Kerikeri and Matauri Bay. Fish and chips for lunch on Mangonui Wharf. Tonight we stay at Taipa Resort in Doubtless Bay.
Day 5, 17 September: Our trip from Mangonui to Omapere will take us via 90 Mile Beach. On arrival relax and take in your surroundings at this spectacular and remote location. Copthorne Hokianga.
Day 6, 18 September: Take a morning cruise with Hokianga Crossings. Your afternoon is free to relax before joining the 4 hour trip into the Waipoua Forest with your Maori guides.
Day 7, 19 September: Time to leave Omapere and head to Auckland airport via Matakoe Kauri Museum. It provides a superb display of the history of the Kauri Forests of Northland. This afternoon we fly to Wellington- our capital city. The Duxton Hotel.
Day 8, 20 September: An early morning start for our ferry crossing to Picton at the top of the South Island. On arrival we will be ferried to our accommodation for the next two nights - Portage Resort Hotel.
Day 9, 21 September: Today you have an opportunity to take bush walks, go kayaking or just meditate in these beautiful and remote surroundings.
Day 10, 22 September: We leave Portage and head for Kaikoura. An opportunity to go whale watching or just relax at this small seaside resort. Tonight you may like to dine on the local delicacy - crayfish. Anchor Inn Motel.
Day 11, 23 September: This morning we head South to Christchurch via the spiritual location of Goose Bay. The Copthorne Central Hotel.
Day 12, 24 September: Alas your guided tour is at and end. You may choose to stay on longer if your home commitments allow.
