Day 1, 1 December: Plan to arrive Auckland today. Tonight we stay at the Spencer Hotel and get to know the group over dinner. Day 2, 2 December: We journey from Auckland to Paihia via Whangarei. On arrival explore the hotel grounds and get acquainted with your surroundings. Copthorne Waitangi Hotel. Day 3, 3 December: Today we take a leisurely cruise around the Bay of Islands in search of Dolphins. Day 4, 4 December: This morning we drive North from Paihia to Mangonui via Kerikeri and Matauri Bay. Fish and chips for lunch on Mangonui Wharf. Tonight we stay at Taipa Resort in Doubtless Bay. Day 5, 5 December: Our trip from Mangonui to Omapere will take us via 90 Mile Beach. On arrival relax and take in your surroundings at this spectacular and remote location. Copthorne Hokianga. Day 6, 6 December: Take a morning cruise with Hokianga Crossings. Your afternoon is free to relax before joining the 4 hour trip into the Waipoua Forest with your Maori guides. Day 7, 7 December: Time to leave Omapere and head to Auckland airport via Matakoe Kauri Museum. It provides a superb display of the history of the Kauri Forests of Northland. This afternoon we fly to Queenstown. The Novotel Gardens Hotel. Day 8, 8 December: You depart at 08.30 for your coach journey South to Te Anau via Mavora Lakes. Take time to relax among these tranquil surroundings. The Luxmore Hotel. Day 9, 9 December: Late morning we will depart for Manapouri. Here you will begin your journey to Doubtful Sound. Tonight we will be anchored in the ford aboard the Fiordland Navigator. A time for exploration or relaxation - the choice is yours. Day 10, 10 December: Our cruise ends today. Once disembarking, we shall return to Queenstown and The Novotel Gardens. Day 11, 11 December: A day for optional activities: horse trekking, hot air ballooning, a helicopter flight to some remote sites, trout fishing, or last minute shopping. A farewell dinner this evening. Day 12, 12 December: Your guided tour is at and end. If you have more time you may wish to add some extra activities. Notes: Prices:
