Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Reception. Meet our staff members in the city of Georgetown. Travel by bus to Annai and Surama village, passing rich rainforest and eventually to Sanvannah grasslands. Learn about the Amerindian culture with an expert guide. Overnight in the Surama Guest House.
Day 2: Canoe down the river and observe parrots, toucans, monkeys and many other animal and plant species. Dine amidst the splendor of the rainforest and take an after-dinner walk through the jungle to observe insects.
Day 3: Jungle walk accompanied by an Amerindian guide. Learn about the Amerindian culture, the various medicinal plants they use and how they do things like imitate the sounds of different birds, etc. Return to the guest house. Eat lunch and then go fishing in the afternoon. Night tour to watch crocodiles.
Day 4: Breakfast. Travel upstream to the Rupununi River.
Day 5: Pack and travel upstream to catch the bus to Georgetown. Eat lunch on the way. Overnight in Georgetown hotel.
