Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: French Guiana. Travel to Oiapoque via Heathrow London. (or to Cayanne) via USA. Travel to Cayanne and overnight at hotel Amazonia.
Day 2: Early start to Kourou. Stop at Devil's Island and the Arianne Space Center before continuing to Albina. Cross with the ferry to Suriname. Continue onto Paramaribo for the night.
Day 3: Suriname. Early start to Brownsburg Nature Park and enjoy the activities at the park including bird watching, visits to waterfalls and sighting flora and fauna. Return to Paramaribo and overnight.
Day 4: Guyana. Early morning departure to Guyana. Drive 30 km of swampy bumpy road before you reach the ferry and continue onto Springlands. Enjoy scenic views along the Berbice road. Another ferry crossing at New Amsterdam town.
Day 5: Kaieteur Falls. Early morning flight to Kaieteur Falls departing Ogle Airdrome. Return in the afternoon and overnight at a hotel.
Day 6: Early morning departure covering 550 km to the interior town of Lethem on partially bekamen upgraded roads. The mining town of Linden and Mabura Hill is approximately 190km before crossing Kurpukari River heading towards Iwokrama Rainforest Reserve. From here you will come across varying topography of sandy highland areas, deep rainforest vegetation and mountainous savannah grasslands. Visit Iwokrama's canopy walkway and Amerindian villages of Surama and Fair View. After 5km you will come to savannah grasslands, sand dunes and an Amerindian village and Eco Resort at Annai. A further 125 km to Lethem where you will overnight
Day 7: Brazil. Early morning to Bomfim in Brazil crossing the Guyana/Brazil pontoon. Clear Immigration and check into hotel. Yellow Fever vaccination is proof essential.
Day 8: Venezuela. Venezuela is the next destination of your exciting journey. From Bon fim cross Boa Vista on traffic free roads with ranching activities. You will come across older local Indians still living in grass, stick and mud houses. The rainforests gets thicker heading into the mountains of the Grand Sabana National Park.
Day 9: You will overnight in a town called El Dorado with few people, dry savannahs and subsistence agriculture.
Day 10: Leave to catch the Orinoco River ferry 600 km through mountains and into Guacharo Cave. Overnight at Santa Fe another fishing village that has been adopted by backpackers.
Day 11: Leave for Caracas taking a small road and covering100km through the rainforests and Gautopo National Park.
Day 12: Fly to angel falls and discover the world tallest waterfall and be inspired. Return in the afternoon.
Day 13: Caracas city tour and rest of day to relax.
