These special sojourns are for those who seek experiences of cycling and touring in a responsible manner that leads to sustainable development in the areas we cycle through. We enjoy cycling in areas that are as little-touristed as possible and where the local people have rarely met westerners, but which have enough facilities to make the trip as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

We visit places where tourists don't go and haven't been destroyed by commercial tourism. So you will have the opportunity to experience the Real Viet Nam , the friendliness and warm hospitality of the Vietnamese people.

The Tam Hanks Group will do our best to make your trip as safe and enjoyable as possible. Your health concerns will be well looked after, the bicycles well-maintained and we will do everything possible to make your journey a memorable one. You will see a world that very few others, including guidebook writers, have ever seen

NO SINGLE CYCLIST, PLEASE !

Day 1: Pick you up at the airport then transfer from Hcm city into the Highlands in our comfortable, air-conditioned van, reaching Di Linh via Bao Loc, The Tea Capital Of Vietnam. We will have lunch at a temple in Bao Loc, then cycle 37-km through rolling tea plantation country with 1 downhill pass. Sleep in a Hotel in Di Linh District.

Day 2: Cycle to Gung Re Waterfalls (17-km away) in the morning. Enjoy the only waterfall that is visited by very few travelers. The cycling route is surrounded by mountains, tea and coffee plantations. Then, return to Di Linh for lunch, with two downhill sections. After lunch, go 76 km, to Da Lat (cycling as much or as little as you like). There is a Short descent into the town from the top of the pass. Da Lat is a beautiful city, set in the hills, with coolest climate in all of Southern Vietnam. Sleep at a quiet Hotel in Da Lat.

Day 3: Choice of either City tour or Jungle walk in Da Lat (no extra charge). Spend one more night in Da Lat.

Day 4: Leaving early. We will climb from Da Lat to the Top of the first hill (20-km and that will bring us up to 1,600m) then enjoy the terrific double descent (42-km) to the Song Pha Valley. Cool pine covered mountains quickly turn into semi-desert country, from which we will continue to the coast. During the SW monsoon from May to November, there are very strong headwinds here and we will ride in our van to the coast. Sleep in cottages which are just a step way from the beach in Ca Na.

Day 5: From Ca Na to Cam Ranh (80 km), we will travel in this distance in the van due to very heavy traffic along this road. Upon reaching the Cam Ranh Beach, we will cycle on the gorgeous 50-km coastal to Nha Trang City - one of the most beautiful city beaches in the world. Sleep at the 2-star hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 6: The van will transfer us to Tu Bong, from which we will cycle 60-km along the beach to Tuy Hoa. Sleep in Tuy Hoa city.

We will eat banh xeo, a delicious yellow crepe made with egg and rice flour with minced meat and vegetables and tasty herbs inside, some of which are only grown in the Delta region. Sleep in a hotel in Cao Lanh.

Nice pagodas, both Cao Dai sect and some very old Vietnamese Buddist temple that was built between 17th-18th century. Then the van will transfer us to another T-junction to cycle to Cho Moi via Tay island (20-km). Due to the small ferry, the van can not go along with us. The van will meet us at Cho Moi, where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will take a small road to the ferry to Long Xuyen (28-km), where we will spend the night.
