Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Beijing. Met at Beijing Capital Airport by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure or explore the city at your own.
Day 2: Beijing. Beijing has an impressive history and plenty of sightseeing, with a rewarding collection of palaces, museums and parks. Today we concentrate on the heart of Beijing, beginning with Tienanmen Square, the Forbidden City before journeying further afield to the Summer Palace. Optional evening out to the Peking Opera. Day 3: Beijing. One of the highlights of any trip to China is an inspiring day tour to the mighty Great Wall at Mutianyu, where a cable car ride is included. Enjoy plenty of time to walk along its ramparts and absorb the breathtaking views. After lunch return to Beijing, enjoy a little free time before a special Peking Duck Dinner in the evening. Day 4: Beijing, Chengdu. After breakfast pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven where Qing Emperors prayed to heaven for good harvest. Transferred to the airport for a flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival met by local tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 5: Chengdu. Today you will visit Chengdu Panda Breed Reserve, learn more about the National Treasure of China. After lunch at local restaurant, visit Sanxingdui ruins dating back to 3000 years ago. The relics here are precious cultural heritage of mankind, which contain rich historical, cultural and scientific value. Transferred back to your hotel. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 6: Chengdu, Lhasa by plane. Transferred to the airport for a morning flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will be met by local tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Relax for the rest of the day. Includes: (B).
Day 7: Lhasa. Full day private tour to Potala Palace, the greatest monumental structure of Tibet and perched upon Marpo Ri Hill. Lunch at local restaurant, visit Jokhang Temple, the spirit center of Tibet. Then visit Barkhor Street, the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the century old Lhasa. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 8: Lhasa. Morning tour to Tsepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, both are great and big ones of the kind. After lunch at local restaurant visit the Norbulingka which means Jeweled Garden, once served as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama at the beginning and now serves as the government office. Your destination today will be the Carpet factory where you will have a general idea of how the local specialty is made. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 9: Lhasa, Shigatse by car or van. Drive to Shigatse after breakfast(347km). On the way visit Yamdrok Lake. It is one of three holy lakes, the others being Namtso and Mampang Yumco. It is the largest inland lake at the northern foot of the Himalayas. This afternoon visit Baiju Monastery. It has 9 stories, 108 doors and 77 rooms. Each room contains a different statue of Buddha and the wall frescoes telling the story about it. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: Shigatse, Lhasa by car or van. Today's tour starts with a visit to Tashilumpo Monastery. Painted in red and white, the building in the monastery stand closely together in terraced rows, offering a grand and majestic view. Be transferred back to Lhasa along the Yaluzangbu River. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 11: Lhasa, Chengdu by plane. Check out and head for the airport, take a morning flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival met and transferred to your hotel to freshen up. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 12: Depart Chengdu. Free at leisure till transferred to the airport or train station for next destination. End of service. Includes: (B).
