Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival. You will be met by staff of Off-Road Ethiopia Tour and transfer to Hotel. O/n Bole-Rock Hotel.
Day 2: Addis Ababa - Bahir Dar. Drive from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar. En route visit the Debre-Libanos Monastery and Blue Nile gorge. O/n Papyrus Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Bahir Dar. Have a full day site seeing tour to the Island monastery of Lake Tana and after lunch take time in the open-air colorful market place of Bahir Dar and drive to the Blue-Nile falls. In the evening be taken to the Bezawit hills. O/n Papyrus Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Bahir Dar - Gondar. After break fast head to Gondar. Up on arrival Explore the 17th century castles of Gondar together with the bathing castle of King Fusillades. Have a lunch break and continue to visit the colorfully decorated church of Debre-Brehan Selassie the open-air market which is known for its basketry. O/n Bakaffa Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Gondar-Semien Mountains. In the morning visit the church of Debre Berhan Selassie Church, which is famous by its wall painting of Bible story and Drive from Gondar to Sankaber. This is the site that is termed as the most wild and spectacular of all Ethiopian landscapes - The Roof of Africa. Observe the magnificent scenery, birds and game like an endemic Gelada Baboon. On your way, visit Weleka that is the settlement for Felasha-Ethiopian Jews (Israelites). O/N. Semien park Guest House.
Day 6: Semien Mountains Axum. After breakfast head to Axum. On this day admire the scenic beauty of the environ around the Lima limo twist and up on arrival be part of the eve celebration of Easter at St. Mary of Axum Church going on for the whole day. Overnight Remhay Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Axum. After early breakfast attend the celebration of Easter and continue the tour in the Ancient and very historic town of Axum, which has been once a capital for the big Axumite Kingdom. Before lunch cover sites such as St. Mary of Zion church, the first church erected in the land of Ethiopia in the 4th century and which is believed to be repository of the Biblical Arc of the covenant, the stele field where you see different steles including the still erected longest one which measures around 23 meters. Have lunch break and continue the visit to the underground Tomb and palace of King Kaleb and his son Gebre Meskel, stone inscription of King Ezana (4th century), the bath and ruined Palace of queen Sheba and the Archeological museum. Overnight Remhay Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Axum - Mekelle. After breakfast in the hotel head to Mekelle. En route visit the Yeha Temple, the Debre Damo Monastery, the rock church of Abreha-Atsbeha and the historic Negash Mosque. Overnight Axum Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Mekelle - Lalibela (Head to Lalibela). En route visit the Cave church of Nakutola. O/n Village Tukul Hotel Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: Lalibela. The whole day is dedicated to explore the eleven world-renowned rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, which was carved out of Rock, by King Lalibela in the late 12th century. Before lunch cover the first group of churches and after lunch finalized the trip by visiting the second and third group of churches. O/n Village Tukul Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Lalibela - Kombolcha by road Drive back to Kombolcha. On the way visit the last Cave church of Nakutola and the Hayq Estefanos monastery and Hayq Lake. O/n Tekle Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 12: Kombolcha Awash (439Kms. Or 9 hours drive) ¯half graveled and half asphalt Drive from Kombolcha to Awash. En route admire the scenery between Kombolcha and Bati, also visit the small town of Bati and the market place of the town.
Day 13: Drive from Awash to Addis Ababa. Early in the morning have safari in the Awash national Park en route visit the Crater lakes of Debre-Zeit. In the evening have traditional traditionally Dinner and show and be transferred to airport for departure.
