Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Home – Beijing. Depart for Beijing.
Day 2: Beijing. Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be taken to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Beijing. Today features an excursion to the Great Wall and Ming tomb. Tonight, enjoy an amazing Acrobatic Show. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Beijing. Today you visit Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. This evening, you are treated to an authentic Beijing Duck dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Beijing / Xian. A morning tour of the Temple of Heaven is followed by a special opportunity to meet Beijingers in a traditional home in a historic neighborhood of Beijing. After lunch, you depart for Xian. Upon arrival, your guide in Xian will take you to your hotel. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Xian. Full day tour features the Terra Cotta Warriors, Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the ancient City Wall from the Tang Dynasty. You will be treated to an Imperial Dumpling Banquet this evening. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Xian / Chongqing / Dazu / Yangtze Cruise. Depart this morning for Chongqing, the “mountain city.” Upon arrival, meet your guide who will take you to Dazu to see the famous Buddhist stone sculptures in the caves. Upon return to Chongqing, you embark on your cruise. (B, L, D)
Days 8 - 9: Yangtze Cruise The Yangtze River journey begins with breakfast on board. As you cruise down the Yangtze, you will stand amazed at the breathtaking beauty of the Three Gorges – Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. All of the fascinating shore excursions are included along the way. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Yichang / Shanghai Cruise ends today in Yichang. Upon arrival, your local guide. will take you to Wuhan airport for your flight to Shanghai. Once in Shanghai, you will be taken to your hotel. Balance of the day is free. Enjoy a dining adventure at one of Shanghai’s great restaurants. (B, L)
Day 11: Shanghai. Today’s touring features Yu Garden, New Shanghai Museum, and the Bund. You will have time to shop at famous Nanjing Street near the Bund. (B, L, D)
Day 12: Shanghai / Suzhou / Shanghai. Today, you day-trip to Suzhou where you visit the Garden of Humble Administrator, Tiger Hill, Lion Grove, and one of China’s best silk embroidery factories. (B, L, D)
Day 13: Shanghai / Guilin. Fly to Guilin this morning. Upon arrival, your local guide will take you on a tour of the Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill before checking in to your hotel. (B, L)
Day 14: Guilin / Hong Kong. Today features a full day Li River cruise enjoying great scenic beauty that is known worldwide. Return to Guilin before you fly to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, you will taken to your hotel. (B, L)
Day 15: Hong Kong. Your morning tour of Hong Kong island via scheduled tour bus includes a tram ride to Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Floating Village and other highlights. Afternoon is free. (B)
Day 16: Hong Kong / Home. You will be taken to the airport for your flight home. (B)
