Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Beijing. On arrival in Beijing you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Qianmen Jianguo Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Beijing. This morning we visit Tienanmen Square, walking through the gate of Heavenly Peace to enter into the Imperial Palace and the Forbidden City, where 22 Emperors ruled China since the 15 century. Sightseeing inside of the Forbidden City includes the front halls, Imperial garden and some of the most beautiful imperial treasure collections. After lunch we continue to the Temple of Heaven where emperors prayed to heaven for good harvest. Overnight at Qianmen Jianguo Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 3: Beijing. Today we visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World ?the Great Wall of China. We take the two hour journey from Beijing and on arrival begin the tour with the way of Spirit, the gate of the Ming Tombs. After lunch we spend the afternoon at the Great Wall. Overnight at Qianmen Jianguo Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 4: Beijing, Xian. This morning we begin our sightseeing with a short stop at the Beijing Zoo to visit the one of China's national treasures, the Giant Panda. Continue on to the Summer Palace and take a boat trip on the Kunming Lake and then visit the Old part of the city and walk through the winding alleys along Shisha Lake. Transfer to the railway station to take the overnight train to Xian. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 5: Xian. Arrive Xian early morning and transfer to hotel. After breakfast we visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. These 6000 life size warriors and horses were first discovered in 1974 and are one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China. Overnight at Royal Garden Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 6: Xian, Chongqing. This morning we take a short walk through the Muslim area of Xian and visit the Grand Mosque. Transfer to airport for your flight to Chongqing. On arrival transferred to downtown for a short city tour. After dinner board your cruise boat. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Chongqing, Fengdu. Depart on your Yangtze Cruise at 8 am. After lunch we embark on a land excursion to the city of Ghosts. This is the place in ancient China where people were judged and it was decided whether they would go to heaven or hell. There are many wooden statues to depict the stories of ancient Chinese spiritual life. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 8: Fengdu, Qutang. This morning we pass the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, two of famous "Three Gorges". Both gorges enjoy a spectacular view and have a thousand meter steep drop to the water below. In the afternoon, we will have a land excursion to the Shennong Stream, one of the tributaries of the Yangtze river. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: Yichang. Today we pass the last of the three gorges, the Xiling Gorges. It is here that the Yangtze widens and we stop to see one of the biggest man-made projects in the world, Three Gorges Dam. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 10: Wuhan, Guilin. Arrive at Wuhan in the morning. After disembarkation transfer to airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at Guilin Plaza Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Guilin, Yangshuo. This morning we will enjoy a 4hr cruise on the Li River. Lunch served on the boat before we arrive at the small town of Yangshuo. The afternoon is free to explore this picturesque town. Overnight at West Street Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 12: Yangshuo, Guilin. Today you have the opportunity to take a bike along the Yulong River and visit a local village. Enjoy lunch in the countryside. The rest of the day is at leisure before returning to Guilin. Overnight at Guilin Plaza Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 13: Guilin, Shanghai. Take the flight from Guilin to Shanghai. On arrival visit the Jade Buddha temple, the Bund and Nanjing Road. Overnight at Hengsheng Peninsular International or similar. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 14: Shanghai. Today we visit the Zhujiajiao water village and take a boat on the narrow canal. Return to Shanghai and visit the Shanghai Museum. Overnight at Hengsheng Peninsular International or similar. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 15: Shanghai. Today we visit the Yu garden and Old town. Transfer to the airport for onward flight. Includes: (B), (L).
