Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul Ataturk Airport, transfer to Historia Hotel or similar hotel after a refreshing time orientation tour in Istanbul.
Option 1:
- Bosporus Half Day Afternoon Tour: Spice Bazaar, Bosporus Cruise, Rumeli Fortress.
Option 2:
- Dolmabahce Palace and Two Continents Half Day Afternoon Tour: Dolmabahce Palace, Bosporus Bridge, Calica Hill.
Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar): A traditional historical marketplace where you can find any aroma and spices and meet all the products of the Silk Road.
Bosporus on Boat: A traditional boat tour through the waterway separating Asia and Europe. Seeing along the way the old Ottoman wooden mansions, marble places and small fishery villages, located at the Asian and European sides. Do not miss important sightseeing spots at the Bosporus such as Dolmabahce Place, Rumeli Fortress and Beylerbeyi.
Rumeli Fortress: The Fortress was built by the order of Sultans Mehmet the Conqueror in only 4 months in 1452 for the control and protection of the Bosporus. It is the most beautiful samples of military architecture in the world.
Day 2: Full Day Byzantine and Ottoman Relics: Saint Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius, German Fountain, Grand Covered Bazaar, lunch at typical Turkish Restaurant, Topkapi Palace and Suleymaniye Mosque.
At 08:30 after breakfast tour for Ottoman and Byzantine sides of Istanbul: St. Sophia. It was built by Emperor Constantine the Great in the 4th century. It is the third largest basilica in the world and famous for its mosaics.
Blue Mosque: Built by Mehmet Emin Aga, famous Ottoman architect, in the name of Sultan III. Ahmet in the 16th century, it is the sole 6-minaret mosques in Istanbul. It is called the Blue Mosque due Iznik tiles in it.
Hippodrome: The Old Hippodrome. There are three masterpieces where The old Byzantine horse races were held: Theodosius Obelisk, Bronze Serpent Column and Constantine Column.
Toptaki Palace: The palace where the ottoman Sultans lived from 15th to 19th centuries. With its kitchen full of various samples of crystal, gold, silver and china porcelains and with the Ottoman Treasury and sacred relics in it, it is the most importance point in Istanbul.
Suleymaniye Mosque: It was built by Sinan, world-wide famous Ottoman architect, during the years from 1550 to 1557 in the name of Suleyman the Magnificent, the most powerful Ottoman Sultan. This work of Sinan was intended to prove his architecture to Hagia Sophia.
Grand Covered Bazaar. A historical shopping place with more than 4000 shops inside. A wonderful historical ambient where you can find gold processing handicraft, hand-woven carpets, hand-painted ceramics, onyx and things for gift. At 16:30 end of the tour, return to hotel.
