Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: We will pick you up at the airport with our bus, showing you Bariloche surroundings and its lakes. Visit to downtown and drive to the hotel. Night in hotel.
Day 2: We will ski in Cathedral ski resort with our professional Mountain Guides and they will show you the highlights and hidden places of the resort. Having a nice short hikes to the ridges, enjoying the view of the Andes, Cerro Tronador and the closer lakes. Having lunch with this amazing views. In the afternoon, we'll drive you to the hotel and pack our gear to go for ski touring on next day. Night in hotel.
Day 3: We´ll take the ski lift to the ridge of Cerro Cathedral and we start our trip to Frey´s hut . We will ski down to the Van Titter´s valley and the ski up with our ski touring gear, getting to the Frey´s hut. It is little bit steep and challenging, but the reward will be a nice Swiss style fondue with wine waiting for us in the hut. We spend the night at the hut surrounded by granite spires.
Day 4: This day depending on the motivation we have two options. Or even to ski in Frey surroundings, which is a great valley with steep and medium slopes to enjoy. Or we can continue to Jakob´s hut. This option is more a traverse day, and less downhill skiing. We will discuss this depending on weather conditions, motivation, etc. Night in the hut.
Day 5: Ski touring in Frey or Jakob area during the morning. After lunch we descend to civilization from any of the huts. Takes 4 or 5 hs average. Night in hotel – Bariloche.
Day 6: Driving day to Curacautin (500km more or less) Base town of Vn. Laima and Lonquimay. Enjoying the landscapes of the Andescrossing. Probably hot springs if we get in time. Night in hotel – Curacautin.
Day 7: Ascent to Vn. Lonquimay. 4 hs (2890 mt). Night in hotel or tents (Opt to you).
Day 8: Rest day- Night in Hotel
Day 9: Ascent to Vn. Llaima (3125 mt) 5 hs Night in hotel or tents (Opt to you).
Day 10: Driving day to the nice cozy town of Pucon. Visiting hot springs. Night in hotel.
Day 11: Ascent to Vn. Villarica (4hs). Drive back to Bariloche. Night in Hotel
Day 12: Spare day in case of bad weather.
Day 13: End of the services- Flight back home.
Important:
This trip could be modified in case of bad weather or difficult conditions. Also we can look into some changes if is needed, like exchange a day of ski touring in a volcano for a ski day in a resort. Or even drive less and spend days in different volcanoes. There are many options to choose. We picked up the highlights of the area. The budget includes this little changes and we are open to them.
Also air tickets combination could be arranged to leave guests in Temuco airport (Chile)-Excellent place for air flights combination.
