Why not transform your dream of an African safari into reality! Here, in The Gem of Africa - Namibia. This safari offers a promise of distilling the essence of Namibia into 21 days. True, 21 days hardly constitute enough time to explore an African country covering a surface area of more than 823 172 sq km (317 827 sq miles). But then again, how much has anyone of us explored of our own country's surface area? With only 21 days available, no time will be wasted on pitching and breaking up of safari camps, this is a fully accommodated safari. Every possible minute will be spent in creating your Namibian Memory Maker!

Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Meet your host at Namibia’s International airport and transfer to a Kalahari guest farm to relax from the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia.

Day 2: After a good night's rest and a hearty breakfast, you will be ready to explore your new surroundings on a very informative guided hike.

Day 3: A relatively long drive today as you move down into the central Kalahari desert of Namibia. End your day with a Kalahari sundowners drive.

Day 4: Entire day at own leisure to enjoy an included scenic drive as well as a drive to view the Cheetahs. Viewing can also take place from a hide where several Kalahari animals come to drink at the waterhole.

Day 5: After breakfast, set off towards the Khomas Hochland - our central highlands. Arrive late afternoon with ample time to relax, stretch your legs and freshen up for a well deserved home cooked meal at this rustic farmhouse - turned rest camp - on the fringes of the highlands.

Day 6: A farm breakfast to start your day before traveling to the very edge of the Escarpment. With camera in hand, experience the vistas of a seemingly unending Namib desert at your feet in the crisp, early morning air. Descend into the desert and take a lunch break at a small desert lodge. Continue towards a Moroccan-styled tented camp and arrive in time for a refreshing swim in the pool, a short hike or simply relax. Freshen up for dinner, served al fresco on the terrace with paraffin/ kerosene lamps lit after sunset. Dine while viewing the desert wildlife quenching their thirst at a floodlit waterhole.

Day 7: Be woken before sunrise for some coffee/tea and then travel along the Tsauchab River valley towards some of the highest sand dunes in the world, at Sossusvlei. You will have the opportunity to climb some of these dunes and experience the changing colors of the landscape as the sun rises. After you are quite satisfied, descend and enjoy a picnic breakfast under age-old Camel thorn trees before returning to the lodge. There will be ample time to explore the Geologically historic Sesriem Gorge before returning to Solitaire for dinner and a well-deserved rest after all the activity.

Day 8: A healthy breakfast should prepare you to continue your safari and traverse the endless gravel plains of the central Namib desert today. A picnic lunch in the middle of nowhere will afford a welcome opportunity to stretch your legs and appreciate the expanse of the desert. Continue towards the Namibian Atlantic coastline. If you are seafood lovers - then Swakopmund is it!

Day 9: Entire day at own leisure in civilization to browse around the German- colonial shops and architecture; laze around on the beach; view the largest mineral crystal cluster ever unearthed to date, or partake of any of a number of optional activities on offer by private operators.

Day 10: An early lunch, before traveling on a salt-surfaced road along the coast towards one of the larger Cape Fur Seal colonies along the Skeleton Coast. An opportunity for some real close-up photos of these - sometimes comical - creatures of the sea. From here you swing back into the Interior for your next stop, via an old, restored mining town, to settle in the shadow of Namibia's highest mountain peak at the Brandberg.

Day 11: Enter through the gateway of the last true Wilderness area of Africa - Damaraland! Continue north into Damaraland and experience its rugged Landscapes of the Soul. Arrive at your lodging in time for a short rest before joining a sundowners drive in this pristine wilderness.

Day 12: Another day to enjoy exploring Damaraland on a Game drive and guided walk. Not at all impossible to encounter the elusive desert Elephants.

Day 13: Moving almost to the official boundary between Damaraland and Kaokoland, you arrive at a most unique concession area in this wilderness. No less than 11 of Namibia's 14 endemic and semi-endemic bird species occur here. A pride of nine Lions has also decided to make this their home. (Nobody knows from where they moved to this "new" home). After dinner, your first opportunity for a night Game drive to seek out the nocturnal animals of Namibia.

Day 14: Start your day with one of the most informative guided hikes/walks that is currently available in Namibia. The entire remainder of the day at own leisure to relax, visit the waterhole and join a Game viewing drive.

Day 15: Depart from Damaraland - albeit reluctantly - to continue towards the Etosha National Park. Arrive at your safari-tent camp by mid- to late afternoon. Might just be enough time for a first, late afternoon drive.

Day 16: After breakfast, search out and view the wildlife in the Okaukuejo region of the Park.

Day 17: A slow Game viewing drive to reach the middle rest camp in time for lunch. Continue through the Park until you reach the historic Fort Namutoni. Exit the Park towards your next overnight stop.

Day 18: After breakfast, search out and view the wildlife in the Namutoni region of the Park.

Day 19: On departing from Etosha, visit the mysterious Lake Otjikoto en-route to your next destination. Experience a new environment as you look upon typical African savanna grassland from your lodge. End your day with a nature drive through the bush.

Day 20: Unfortunately, all good things must also come to an end and today you have to return to Windhoek. We try not to make your transition from the bush to civilization too sudden. Therefore you will be accommodated in a guest farm en-route to the airport. Join an informative, scenic drive for a final glimpse of our Namibian sunset on this, your last night in Namibia.

Day 21: Subject to flight departure time, you may all morning to "wind down" and enjoy short nature walks, or finish that film or memory card on the many Namibian Love birds around the homestead. Transfer to Namibia's International airport to arrive in time for your departure flight.
