Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at the lodge mid afternoon and check into your deluxe suite with private bath. Plan out the week at the welcome dinner, get organized, rest up for the busy week to come.

Day 2: After an early breakfast meet your guide for the day's exploration. We like to start the week by fishing the Upper Kenai River by drift boat. (We bring a couple of fly rods and a couple of spin rods for each guest.) We usually fish for a mix of trout, char and salmon this day as we introduce you to one of the finest fishing rivers in Alaska. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Today is the day for Halibut and Salmon on the saltwater most weeks. We head over to the harbor town of Seward and board our charter boat early in the morning. We stop off in the cut where we hope to pick up a limit of salmon for everyone in the first hours of the day. Then it's off to the halibut grounds. After boating a limit of halibut, we end the day fishing for ling cod and rock fish. This is the day that you fill the freezer. (If you prefer, the saltwater day can be traded for another day of freshwater fishing or, at your option, another float plane fly out day). Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Today is the day for big salmon! We head to the Kasilof for kings. Kings are the largest of the salmon and are hard to catch - which is why they are so much fun to fish for. We fish from the drift boats, using a variety of diving plugs and baits. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: The high mountain lakes or a remote salmon stream call our name today as we board the float plane and head into the wilderness. Expect to see bears fishing with us as we have a little piece of Alaska all to our selves. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Optional extension to Day 6: Walk and Stalk fishing on a crystal clear mountain stream is the order of the day. Or perhaps another trip down the Upper River by drift boat. It is all dependent on where the fishing is hottest and what you want to catch. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Optional extension to Day 7: Today you can sleep in. After a leisurely breakfast, you pack up your things while we box up any fish you have kept for the trip home. All salmon, halibut and other fish that you have kept has been vacuum packed and frozen during your stay and will now be placed into an airline approved fish box for the trip home with you. Depart for the airport and your flight home mid day. Include: (B).All Fishing days are full days (8 to 10 hours).
