Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Delhi - Leh (Arrival). Depart by morning direct flight form New Delhi to Leh. Upon arrival you will be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. The drive form airport to hotel will take approx 45 minutes. Tea / Coffee will be served at the hotel as a welcome drink upon arrival. Check into your rooms. After some rest, change and wash Hot Lunch will be served at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize to the weather. Later in the day go for sightseeing visiting the Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay is at the hotel in Leh.
Day 2: Leh – Phey / Zingchen - Rumbak (5 hrs). After breakfast in the morning check out of the hotel and drive to Phey Bridge. Cross the bridge and start walking towards the Zingchen Gorge. En route one can see snow leopard signs along the valley bottom of the side valleys if you are trekking during winter or early spring/fall. Hot Packed Lunch will be served in the afternoon. Arrive Rumbak by evening to check into the home-stay / camp. Evening is free for leisure activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the home-stay / Camp resort.
Day 3: Rumbak. After early breakfast in the morning proceed for full day wildlife viewing along with a trained local guide. Wildlife viewing possibilities are; Blue sheep, the Great Tibetan sheep or the Argali, various mountain and migratory birds, high altitude flora and occasionally a Tibetan Wolf or a Snow leopard if extremely lucky. Hot Packed Lunch will be served in the afternoon. Return back to the hotel after the sightseeing. Evening is for leisure activities. Dinner and Overnight stay is at the home-stay / camp.
Day 4: Rumbak – Stok - Leh (06 hrs). After breakfast in the morning at the hotel make an early start for your trek up the Stokla pass (4900mts) for 3 hours. Follow the path on the extreme left along the south facing hillside. After one hour the path gets slower as you start climbing up to the pass. From the pass you can get great views of the Indus valley. Descend all the way down to the village of Stok. Optionally you can visit the Stok Palace museum. After the sightseeing; drive to Leh so as to arrive and check into the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay is at hotel.
Day 5: Leh. After early breakfast in the morning leave for River Rafting on Indus River (Full day) from Phey to Nimoo. Later in the day return back to the hotel in Leh. Evening is free for leisure activities. Dinner and overnight stay is at the hotel in Leh.
Day 6: Leh – Delhi - Onward destination Fly back. After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have spare time for leisure activities. Later check out and drive to the airport to board your flight back to Delhi. Depending on your onwards travel plans you will have time for leisure and shopping activities in Delhi. Later transfer to the airport to connect for your flight for your onwards destination. Fly back to your home with the everlasting memories of magnificent glimpses of Ladakh.
