Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Delhi - Leh (Arrival). Depart by morning direct flight form New Delhi to Leh. Upon arrival you will be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. The drive form airport to hotel will take approx 45 minutes. Tea / Coffee will be served at the hotel as a welcome drink upon arrival. Check into your rooms. After some rest, change and wash Hot Lunch will be served at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize to the weather. Later in the day go for sightseeing visiting the Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay is at the hotel in Leh. Day 2: Leh – Hemis – Leh (104 kms One Way). After breakfast in the morning at the hotel drive to visit The Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries and Stok Palace Museum. In the afternoon packed or hot Lunch will be provided. Return back to Leh in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay is at the hotel. Day 3: Leh – Lamayuru – Kargil (230 kms). After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Kargil. En route visit Liker Monastery and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Alchi Monastery, mesmerizing Moon landscapes and the Lamayuru monastery (Oldest Monastery in Ladakh) and Giant Maitreya at Mulbekh. Continue your drive to Kargil so as to arrive by the evening. Check into the hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax and for leisure activities. Dinner and overnight stay is at the hotel / Camp in Kargil. Day 4: Kargil – Drass – Sonamarg – Srinagar (204 kms). After early breakfast in the morning check out of the hotel and drive to Srinagar passing through Drass, the second coldest inhabited Place on earth and you can have spectacular view of Kargil War famous Peaks Tiger Hill and other Peaks. Arrive at Srinagar by the evening. Check into the deluxe Houseboat on the Dal / Nagin Lake. Dinner overnight stay is at the houseboat. Day 5: Srinagar – Gulmarg - Srinagar (112 kms). After breakfast at the houseboats in the morning you have spare time for leisure activities. Later check out and drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hrs. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later in the day go for sightseeing of Gulmarg - has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs. Also enjoy sledge riding on snow. Gandola Ride, Chair Lifts for mountain ride are also available. Later in the evening return back to the Srinagar houseboat for dinner and overnight stay. Day 6: Srinagar. After breakfast at the houseboat in the morning go for full day sightseeing of Srinagar visiting Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 Ad. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms respectively. Enroute visit carpet-weaving factory. Evening is for leisure and shopping activities at your own. Return back to deluxe houseboat for Dinner and overnight stay. Day 7: Srinagar – Delhi - Onward destination Fly back. After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have spare time for leisure activities. Later check out and drive to the airport to board your flight back to Delhi. Depending on your onwards travel plans you will have time for leisure and shopping activities in Delhi. Later transfer to the airport to connect for your flight for your onwards destination.
