Main attractions: alpine village of Kranjska Gora with beautiful scenery of Western Julian Alps. Known from winter sports - World Cup slaloms are held here every January.

13 km round trip / ascent 640m. Forest and mountain meadows trail (hotel 3*).
This warm-up walk takes you to the summit of Mt. Pec (1508m) to the triple border point where Slovenia, Italy and Austria meet. At the top you can soak up the dramatic views across the Julian and Carnian Alps, with Hohe Tauern, the highest alpine range in Austria, forming a picturesque backdrop. The trail then descends through the valley to the source of the mighty Sava River, the longest in Slovenia, and back to Podkoren via Kranjska Gora ski resort.

A nice downhill ride with one pass of 150m/500ft (4* hotel).
For your final day you will head back into the heart of the Triglav National Park. The route takes you alongside the Sava Dolinka River as it cuts its way south to join the Sava Bohinjka, where it becomes the Sava River, the longest in Slovenia. From Mojstrana you will head into the Krma Valley. This lush green valley leads through a peaceful forest littered with WW2 monuments and traditional farmhouses, one of which has been adapted into a museum. You can have lunch in the mountain hut at the foot of Triglav, the mightiest mountain in the Julian Alps, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery deep in the heart of this beautiful alpine landscape. From here you will head through the Radovna Valley between the Pokljuka and Mežakla plateaus. As you exit the valley, take a short detour to the stunning 1.6km Vintgar Gorge, carved 150m deep into the mountains by the Radovna River. The gorge was discovered by chance by the town mayor in 1891, who then set to work building walkways to open the gorge up to the public. We recommend you try the trout dinner at the entrance to the gorge before heading into Bled.

Day 4: RAFTING LAKE BLED (8 km).
3 hour rafting trip on Sava Dolinka river (grade 2-3). Q This trip is suitable for all, no extra experience or equipment needed. A free afternoon in Bled. (4* hotel).
Main attractions: time to explore Bled – its Lake, island church, the castle on the rock...
We liked: cream cake in Park hotel – famous in all central Europe...

12 km / ascent 200m. Mountain meadows & tree line walk (4* hotel).
Today you will be driven by car up to the Pokljuka Plateau from which you will begin your hike across mountain pastures and old farmhouses where you will come to a viewing point providing outstanding views into the Bohinj Valley. As you descend you can stop at the little historic village of Studor where you can visit the museum and see how people lived 150 years ago. Your final destination is Lake Bohinj, the jewel in the heart of the Triglav National Park, and the small settlement of Ribcev Laz (Fisherman’s Pass).

A day for rest or an easy kayak trip on Lake Bohinj (in the summer months one can swim in its' crystal clear waters) (hotel 4*).
Main attractions: Spend a lazy afternoon on one of hidden beaches of this tranquil place.
We liked: local pubs with excellent lake trout, cable car ride up Vogel mountain - 1532 metres high.

Cycling through Sava river valley, flat one short ascent (hotel 4*).
Main attractions: back to Lake Bled through the valley of longest Slovene river. Great views of Karawanke range of mountains on the way to Bled. In the afternoon there is plenty of time to explore surrounding of Bled on bike. A side trip to a view point is possible.
