June: in Siracusa for Classic Theatre and some days to the beautiful Sicilian seaside!
Again in the Myth. In Siracusa for Classic Greek Theatre representations: a unique experience, even if you don't know the represented tragedies. Sitting on the theatre rocky steps will be fully repaid from the personal and interior enrichment you get have from this kind of experience.
The atmosphere, the sounds, everything communicates the great Greek culture and made us rediscover or discover for the first time an extraordinary culture, often left aside because considered boring. But in Siracusa nothing is boring, I swear!
This year the programme includes the representation of the trilogy “Orestea”, here's an introduction from "Fondazione Inda": with Orestea, the only completed trilogy of the Classic Theatre that we have today (Agamennone, Coefre, Eumenidi), Eschilo won the first prize in 458 b.C. But in those years that theme had already a long history and, starting from Omero, the poets wrote about different subjects and situations. So Eschilo doesn't invent but interpretates and remodeled that ancient legend, making the Atridi story the symbol and the paradigm of human condition.
The relationship between the individual destiny and the universal order, the root of the fault and its inheritance, the conflict between revenge and justice, the bond between knowledge and sufference, the opposition between a patriarcal universe dominated from man power and a new-born, feminine world governed by the mother: these are some of the themes that this monumental tragedy put under our attention, with haste and depth of thinking. Besides this wonderful experience, our stay in Sicily will be dedicated to the sun and the sea, to the knowledge of the ancient historical centre of Siracusa, to Ortigia and to the coast until the town of Noto, to get in touch with one of the most extraordinary witness of Sicilian Barocco.
And we won't miss to taste the flavour of Sicilian products, with a cooking drink in a manor farm near Ortigia: with a glass of good local wine we will be part of the preparation of a typical dish!

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 - Thursday, June, 12th:
Arrive to Catania airport. Everyone will reach Siracusa autonomously (if you arrive more or less at the same time we'll arrange a transfer). Meeting with our personal traveller at 6:00 p.m. Evening in the city centre for a first tour and dinner.
Day 2 - Friday, June 13th:
Morning tour of Ortigia and a bit of sunbathing along the coast return to the B&B at about 4:00 p.m.
at 5:00 p.m. transfer for the Greek Theatre; the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Saturday June, 14th:
Morning departure for the seaside, going towards Noto; some hours on the seaside and at about 5:00 p.m. transfer to Noto centre, where we'll visit the town and we'll have dinner together
Day 4 - Sunday June, 15th:
Morning in Siracusa at 11:30 a.m. Cooking drink- light lunch and greetings
The cost of flights isn't included, but we can find the best options!
The cost of package in twin room is 490 Euro per person, in single room 620 Euros. The tariff includes:
-3 overnight stays in B&B with breakfast;
-transfer for trip to the seaside;
-ticket for the Greek Theatre;
-cooking drink;
-personal traveller;
