Horseback riding at gunflint lodge spring and autumn are wonderful times of year to travel the wooded trails by horse. In the spring, the woods come alive with songs and calls of the many species of birds that pass through on their way to nesting grounds. In the autumn, the crisp, bright days are pleasant for horse and rider alike, with lingering fall colors and pine-scented air.
