This region takes you past small islands and to an ancient ship yard before paddling over an ancient, sunken Lycian city. The unrivaled natural beauty and unique ancient castle perched on top of Kale village make this trip truly unforgettable.
*Material: You kayak in two person kayaks made by Prijon. Every participant gets a paddle, spray skirt, and a life jacket.
*Participants: The participants of this trip do not need kayak experience. Stepping in and out of your kayak, when the kayak has flipped, you're able to get out of it. You don't need to be able to make an Eskimo roll. The group has minimum of 6 and maximum of 18 participants. We kayak according the sea kayak rules.
*Tips: We advise you to take bathing clothes, shorts, 1 shirt with long sleeves, hat, good sunglasses, shoes/ sandals you can wear in the water. The sun is very strong, so you need a good protection milk with at the least factor 8.
Tour Itinerary:
- 09:45 Meet the in the our office in Patara and transfer to our kayak base by minibus (1h 15min).
- 11:00 Introduction to Kayaks(30min).
- 13:00 Tersane Bay: swimming, snack and walking around the ruins (30min).
- 14:00 Kaleköy( Simena). Lunch, walk up to the castle and the see the ruins, paddle around the submerged Lycian tombs.
- 16:30 Paddle back to the village (45min).
- 18:00 Back to Patara.
