Begin in Istanbul. Stay at the Hotel, a historic building steps from the city's main attractions. During flexible touring with guide, visit sights such as the Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the beautiful tiles in its Harem, ancient underground cisterns, and Istanbul's Spice Market. Take a cruise on the Bosporus, the waterway separating old Istanbul from new, Europe from Asia. During free time, shop for carpets and kilim, jewelry, glass, textiles and antiques at the Grand Bazaar.
Next, fly inland to Cappadocia to view ancient frescoes and cave dwellings, and climb through the narrow corridors of vast subterranean cities. Continue to Izmir to explore nearby Greek and Roman ruins in Aphrodisiac and Ephesus, the former terminus of the Royal Road to Babylon. Spend another day visiting the mineral pools and ruins in the ancient thermal spa of Pamukkale.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Istanbul - Izmir - Smyrna. Arrive in Izmir. Meet and transfer to Pergamon. Visit Pergamum, Asclepion, Thyatira. Return to Izmir.
Day 2: Izmir - Sardis - Philadelphia - Pamukkale. After having breakfast drive to Sardis. Then, continue to Pamukkale to visit Laodicea. Continue to Alasehir ancient (Philadelphia). Afternoon drive to Hierapolis. Pamukkale. Visit the ruins of Hierapolis. Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 3: Pamukkale - Colossae - Laodicea - Aphrodisiac - Kusadasi. Morning visit to Eskihisar, the ancient Laodicea then drive to Aphrodisiac. Overnight Kusadasi.
Day 4: Kusadasi – Ephesus - Kusadasi. Ephesus, the Church of the Virgin Mary. Then visit the Church of St. John and his Tomb in Selcuk before driving to the Last Home of the Virgin Mary. Overnight Kusadasi.
Day 5: Ephesus - Cappadocia. Transfer to airport in Izmir and take the midnight flight to Cappadocia. Arrival and transfer to hotel, Overnight hotel in Cappadocia.
Day 6: Cappadocia. Guided discovery of Cappadocia. Visit to Goreme Open Air Museum with cave churches, Devrent imagination valley, Uchisar Rock Castle, Fairy Chimneys in Pasabag, Avanos. Overnight Hotel Cappadocia.
Day 7: Cappadocia. Tour to Underground city, Soganli valley, Sobessos mosaics, Keslik monastery and Mustafapasa old Greek town. Overnight Hotel Cappadocia.
Day 8: Cappadocia - Tarsus - Antioch. Drive to Tarsus, after visits, drive to Hatay (Antioch) and overnight in Hatay.
Day 9: Antioch (Hatay - Turkey). Visit to mosaic museum, St. Peter's church, Roman baths and aqua ducts. Overnight in Hatay.
Day 10: Drive to Adana and take a flight to Istanbul.
