2-Days Jinja Tour (Nature & Culture)
Sezibwa Falls;
Early morning set off for Jinja and on the way branch off to Sezibwa falls located in Mukono District, which is a historically rich place as it has a connotation about birth of that river, which also has a twin relative. It is 2419 years old and has been a favorite of the Kabaka’s of Buganda as a place for Royal relaxation. All the stories are given in details at the destination by the guides, as well as they talk o the shrine where people go for blessings, cave that has very big snakes, and many more things to watch. So attractive are the falls and can appear so cool physically as well as in back ground of the photos which you ought not to miss out on.
Mabira Forest;
Proceed to Mabira forest at the picnic site, where tourist can go for the walk around the trails with on site interpretation of the unique species, and you may also come across some animals and primates. You may also take an optional bike ride at your own cost along the forest trails.
Source of the Nile;
Transfer to the source of the Nile to see the magnificent scenic view of where the world’s longest River Nile starts on its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea through Sudan and Egypt, which takes water six months to reach the sea. Take a look at John Speke pillar representing where he stood when he saw the source of the Nile. Speke was the first European to see the source of the Nile in 1862 and commented that
“Most beautiful was the scene, nothing could surpass it! It was the very perfection of the kind of effect aimed at in highly-kept park; with a magnificent stream from 600 to 700 yards wide, dotted with islets and rocks, the former occupied by fishermen huts, the latter by terns and crocodiles basking in the sun, flowing between fine high grassy banks, with rich trees and plantains in the background. The expedition has now performed its functions; old father Nile with out any doubt rises in the Victoria Nyanza”.

Jinja Nile Resort;
On arrival, enjoy your lunch at Jinja Nile Resort hotel after which can have a stroll around the compound o which you can have marvelous scenic view at the Nile waters flowing, the nice compound of the hotel, then go to the High Bung jump to have a keen look also at the challenging expedition. Proceed to Bujagali.
Bujagali Falls;
At the falls of Bujagali, first enjoy the scenic slanting slope before strolling down to have a look at the bubbling water falls seen at different strategic points from where you really appreciate Gods creation before returning to Kampala via Namugongo martyrs shrine.
Cruise to Samuka Islands;
Enjoy the boat cruise and discover the secret of Samuka Island and enjoy the waters of lake Victoria. There is also a floating deck and jetty that extends into the lake. The jetty will provide you with the opportunity to have an ideal location to watch the setting sun from the tranquil waters of Lake Victoria.
Namugongo Shrine;
Return to Kampala and pass via Namugongo enroute to Kampala, to catch a glimpse of the memorial site of the burnt Ugandan martyrs like Kaloli Lwanga Kizito and others who decided to die of their religion, killed by infamous kabaka Mwanga of Buganda. Namugongo is a popular place known worldwide where every year on 3rd- June when
Most martyrs were killed is marked national holiday in Uganda.
Then the drive will return you to the hotel or place of origin. Enjoy your trip.
