15 minutes north of the capital City is found the new monument to the French Geodesic Expedition that in 1736 measured a circumference arch of earth in order to determine its shape and exact size. Currently the monument contains a complete ethnographic museum about the Indian cultures of Ecuador with more than 20 different groups represented.
Clients will be having also a visit to the Solar Theme Park where representations of the main pre-Inca monuments showing its relationship to astronomy are displayed. Also there is a typical house of the High Andes with all its utensils and pets there is also a collection of objects gathered with the groups of the Ecuadorian Amazon. The visit includes a commemorative diploma of having crossed the Equatorial line.
