Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Friday. Pick up at airport or your accommodation and check-in to Alice Springs Resort. Visit local galleries before ending the day with a final briefing.
Day 2: Saturday. Depart Alice Springs - Day walk in Eastern MacDonnell's and Trephina Gorge, a perfect introduction to the desert environment. Transfer to a campsite on Aboriginal country, Angkerle Arrenge, with Jungala Kriss and spend the night around his campfire with family members (2 hour walk).
Day 3: Sunday. Day spent walking on Angkerle Arrenge with Jungala and family with focus on culture and dot painting (2-3 hour walk).
Day 4: Monday. Early morning departure for Mount Sonder and a beautiful walk into Ormiston Pound. Return to camp and an evening around the fire (4-5 hour walk).
Day 5: Tuesday. Depart for an extraordinary walk along Section 3 of the Larapinta Trail into the back-end of the spectacular Standley Chasm. Arrive at Hamilton Downs Homestead (6 hour walk).
Day 6 - 8: Wednesday - Friday. 3 day art residency at the old Hamilton Downs Homestead. Daily walks, tuition and personal time (2-3 hour walk).
Day 9: Saturday. Early departure for Alice Springs. Enjoy a few hours personal time before bus link to Alice Springs airport.
