The Dive Center has been active since 1997. It offers a customized sevice and environmentally friendly dives with optimal safety. Four multilingual instructors and four divemasters welcome you to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and are looking forward to showing you the beauties of the different dive sites. Scubaqua Dive Center has won the award of the dive shop of the year 2007 in St. Eustatius during the St. Eustatius Tourism Week taking place end of September.The Scubaqua team is very proud of this award and will still improve its services to keep it ! Scubaqua offers all the standard PADI training courses : - Discover Scuba Diving - Open Water - Adventure diver - Advanced Open Water - Specialties : wreck, deep, night, underwater navigation, photography, drift, enriched-air, fish identification, rebreather, etc. - Rescue Diver - Dive Master - EFR (Emergency First Response) The undewater dive sites are part of a protected Marine Park managed by STENAPA, St Eustatius National Parks Foundation. STENAPA's main goal is to protect the biodiversity and ecosystem on the island and underwater. The total marine and terrestrial protected area covers about 33 km2 almost twice the size of the island itself. There are two protected reserves in the North and the South in which no fishing and anchoring are allowed.
