Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Huaraz – Quilcayhuanca – Tullpacocha
After the breakfast in Huaraz, we will pickup you at your hotel to travel to the East side of Huaraz. After 1,5 hour travel will arrive to Huascaran national Park. Along this travel we will pass small village lake Unchus, Llupa and Pitec. At the park entrance our Donkey Driver and Donkeys will be waiting for us to transport our camping equipments to Tullpacocha, lunch on the way. Along this route we will have splendid views of Andavite Mount. After hiking 4 hours will arriving to Tullpacocha.
Day 2: Tullpacocha – Huapi Pass (5000m) – Cojup
After the breakfast in Tullpacocha we will start climbing up to Huapi Pass (5000m) for about 3,5 hours. Before the pass we will enjoy the nice Lake named Cuchillacocha at (4625m/15170ft). On the top we will stay for some minutes to enjoy the splendid views for nice peaks like Huapi, Pucaranra, Tullparaju, Andavite, Cayash, Maparaju, San Juan, etc. After that we will go down to Cojup, which is our second Camp named Perolcocha at (4000m/13120ft).
Day 3: Cojup - Huaraz
After the breakfast in Cojup we will start going down to Cojup entrance for about 2,5 hours, where our transport will be waiting for us to transfer to Huaraz. Arrive to Huaraz around 1:00 PM and transfer to the Hotel.
Notes:
Things that you you need to bring:
- Backpack
- Sleeping bag
- Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Huaraz for a small price)
- Strong, comfortable footwear
- One complete change of clothing (you can carry more if you afford to hire a personal porter, please see options below)
- Sweater or jacket
- Water bottle (boiled drinking water will be provided)
- Torch or flashlight and batteries
- Hat or cap for sun protection
- Sun block (sun protection cream)
- Insect repellent (absolutely important item for this hike is bug spray. Anything with a lot of DEET will do the job, anything less is simply not sufficient. Bug spray must be bought when you come to Huaraz, as it cannot be found in the neighboring towns)
- Toiletries, towel and toilet paper
- Small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits, energy bars etc,
- Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries
- Cash in soles
- Swimsuit (if you plan on visiting the hot springs at Hunacarhuaz after the trek)
- Optional: walking poles or stick rubber covers (can be hired from our office for a certain price for the 4 day trek)
- Copy of the passport
This could be optional:
- Personal horse with and extra cost
- Vegetarian meals. We can provide vegetarian meals or cater for special diets with no extra cost. Just let us know at time of reservation prior to trek departure.
- Sleeping bag hire. If you haven't got a sleeping bag or you don't want the hassle of bringing one then we have sleeping bags in our office for rent
Reservation details:
All trek reservations must be made in advance (30 days in advance is recommended especially for April, May, June, July and August).

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

Notes: We will require a non-refundable trek deposit of 50% per person payable at the time of Reservation and we will confirm you by e-mail or phone your trek booking. The remaining balance is to be paid in Huaraz one day prior to your trek departure date.
