Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Ushuaia. Arrive at Ushuaia airport and transfer to the Hotel of your choice. Rest of the day free to explore the city on your own. Optional excursion to observe the beavers.
Day 2: Lakes Fagnano and Escondido. Approx. 9am start driving northwards, through the valleys Carbajal y Tierra Mayor, until reaching Paso Garibaldi from where we have a beautiful view to ancient forests and deep blue lakes. A bit further we leave the normal road and continue off-road to Lake Fagnano situated in the middle of a fairy-tale forest. Here we enjoy a light breakfast. Then we walk (1 hrs) at the shore of the lake and through virgin forests until reaching the refugio where a delicious barbecue including wine is waiting for us. Free time to stroll around or just relax in the beautiful landscape. At 3.30pm we continue to Lake Escondido. Time to have a coffee or walk around by the lake. At about 5pm we return to Ushuaia and overnight in the hotel of your choice. Includes (B,L-).
Day 3: Tierra del Fuego National park. At 9am pick-up at your hotel and short transfer to the west end of the National Park. We walk about 7 km along the coast, without any doubt the most beautiful stretch in the National park with the most abundant vegetation. Get to know the typical flora of the region as Lengas, Nires, Cohiues, Orquideas, Canelos and Notros. Once arriving at La Roca we board zodiac boats and sail on the famous Beagle Channel to Isla Redonda, a National Reserve only opened to tourism a few years ago.
Here we enjoy a fine lunch of home-made pasta in our island hut, with a beautiful view on the surrounding landscape. Free time to explore the island and to observe the Magellan Cormorants which nest in a rocky wall. At 3pm we sail towards Bahia Lapatia, the end of the world and pure beauty. On the way we can spot typical marine life of southern Argentina as albatross, arctic pigeons and sometimes penguins. Arrival at Bahia Lapatia and transfer back to your hotel in Ushuaia and overnight. Includes (B,L-).
Day 4: Ushuaia. Morning on your own. Optional navigation on the Beagle Channel (not incl.). In the afternoon transfer to the airport to fly to P. Arenas or within Argentina Includes (B).
