The Mekong River runs through Cambodia, Laos, Myanmmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Yunnan (China) and is the longest river in the southeastern Asia region. Deep in history and rich in culture, it's one of the last travel frontiers with stunning natural beauty and incredible cultural diversity. Some of its attractions include ancient monuments, royal capitals and UNESCO World Heritage sites like Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Luang Prabang in Laos, signifying an illustrious past dating back thousands of years.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: HCM city - Caibe - Vinhlong - Manthit
Pick-up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to Vinh Long. Arrive in Vinh Long, boarding Bassac at noon. Welcome drink, introduction of the ship and crew, and cabin check-in. Departure toward Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river. Lunch on the upper deck. Rest on the deck, or enjoy the open bar. Swerve into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, view local shipyards on the way.
Day 2: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
- Breakfast is available from 6:30 a.m. while the cruise sets sails through the Tra On floating market, then bound for Can Tho. Arrival at Cai Rang floating market, check out and transfer onto a local boat to visit the nearby arroyos and gardens and the Ninh Kieu pier.
- Lunch at Nam Bo restaurant. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City, drop-off at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh.
