Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg – South Africa
Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport where you will be met by a one of our representatives. He or She will assist you in booking onto your next flight and answering any questions which you may have. After a short flight of 45 min you will arrive at Eastgate Airport in the heart of the Lowveld, the area is renowned for its fantastic Safari experiences. Here you will be met by you Safari host, who will then transfer you to your Luxurious Lodge in the heart of the world renowned Greater Kruger National Park and located in the Thornybush Game Reserve.
Check into your luxury accommodation, before embarking on your first Game Drive with your expert Ranger and his trusted tracker. Return to the lodge after sunset for a scrumptious African dinner under the night sky.
Days 2-4: Thornybush Game Reserve – South Africa
The Reserve offers you a unique exclusive Safari experiences in both open Land Rovers, and on foot. The private reserve is home to an abundance of species: 147 mammals including the "Big Five", 114 reptiles, 507 birds, 49 fish, 34 amphibians and 336 trees. The reserve is predominantly open savanna and with a near perfect year round climate, it is the ideal African safari holiday destination.
Game drives and walks are accompanied by highly trained and experienced rangers and trackers, ensuring that your African Safari experience is truly memorable. A typical day will include an early morning and late afternoon up-close game drives, while you may also request additional bush walks with your ranger and tracker, while the mid-day period can be spent at the Lodge Swimming pool or in your chalet enjoying a good book. The viewing hides allow bird lovers an excellent opportunity to encounter the game reserve 507 different species of bird as well as regular visits by other animals.
Your Lodge found in the riverine forests on the banks of a tributary of the Monwana watercourse in the heart of the Thornybush Game Reserve will provide you with complete privacy and stunning vistas. The impeccable service standards of the in camp staff will enhance your experience and provide for your every need. In the evening, enjoy the balmy weather and pristine stars of the Southern Sky and Milky Way, as you have never seen them before – including the spectacular Southern Cross.
Day 5: Inhambane - Mozambique
This morning, after our final game drive, we continue our journey and head south to Nelspruit, where we will catch our onward flight to the sub-tropical Coast of Mozambique. We arrive in Vilanculos and are escorted to Flamengo Bay, a truly remarkable destination. Your accommodation, built from local materials and combined with luxurious decor, is situated on stilts just above the water, where you will be able to take a plunge into the warm ocean whenever the need arrives. Check into your luxury lodge, settle-in and relax on this Indian Ocean, with its vast unspoilt beaches fringed by palm trees and enjoy your beautifully prepared dinner.
Days 6-9: Inhambane - Mozambique
Enjoy lazy days swimming in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, sunbathing on deserted golden beaches and snorkeling off the beach amongst fish of all descriptions. You have unlimited access to all non-motorized water sports, including windsurfing, kite flying, ocean ski paddling and catamaran sailing. There are also several optional activities including, Scuba Diving, snorkeling and Horse Riding or you can simply relax and enjoy the warm sunshine under endless blue skies.
You will also have opportunity to go on a complimentary Sunset Dhow sailing trip to explore the ocean and enjoy watching the sun set in you beautiful surroundings. Each evening you will enjoy a romantic dinner and understand what it means to be in paradise!
Day 10: Inhambane - Mozambique
You will have the morning to enjoy yourselves and take in the last few moments of this awesome destination. You will then be transferred to Inhambane before we begin our final journey to Johannesburg International. Here you will have time to do some final curio shopping before your onwards flight to your next destination.
