Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
A representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and handle all the procedures through passport control, luggage area and customs formalities. After which, you will be transferred to your hotel by a private a/c vehicle. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Pyramids Tour
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Giza’s Pyramid complex
See the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, and then pay a visit to the Egyptian Museum where you can view the magnificent treasures of the Pharaoh’s including the great Tutankhamun. Optional lunch, then free time for an optional tour (See list), dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Old Coptic Cairo
Breakfast – then visit Coptic Cairo where you will explore the Hanging church, reputed to be one of the oldest churches in Egypt., observe the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and explore the Mohamed Ali alabaster mosque, one of Cairo’s landmarks whose minaret can be seen from any part of the city. Beak for lunch, then return to your hotel for free time, in the evening board the first class Spanish seating train headed for Luxor.
Day 4: Luxor
You will be greeted by our representative at Luxor , where you will be assisted, through baggage collection, and then taken by private a/c vehicle to board your 5 star Egypt Nile cruise. Check into you’re floating hotel and after lunch on-board, take the afternoon to explore ancient Luxor either on foot or by bicycle! Return to your ship and enjoy a leisurely dinner and first night board.
Day 5: Luxor
After breakfast on board journey across to Deir al Medina (the west bank of the Nile) to visit Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut where you will see the spectacular burial chambers of past King’s and Queens and well-preserved Hieroglyphics.On the return journey to your ship you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, 2 gigantic statues guarding the entrance to Amenhotep’s memorial temple. Lunch on-board. Have a free afternoon in Luxor to take an optional tour (see list). Overnight on-board.
Day 6: Edfu
Take breakfast on the Nile cruiser, anchored at Edfu and take an excursion to the ancient settlement there, where you can take in the most beautifully preserved, Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the God Horus. Sail to Kom Ombo and see the Temple of Sobek, the crocodile god. Have lunch on board then sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7: Aswan
After breakfast on Nile cruiser, enjoy a day’s sightseeing in Aswan starting with the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk.Sail to Elephantine Island and Kitcheners botanical garden on a local felucca boat, optional (see list) Dinner and overnight on board deluxe Nile cruiser.
Day 8: Aswan / Abu Simble
(Optional tour to Abu Simble) Disembark from your boat after breakfast and transfer to your hotel in Aswan for one night stay.
Days 8 – 14: Hurghada
After breakfast transfer by private a/c vehicle to your hotel, this once remote fishing village has much in the way of excellent hotels and is a diving centre of excellence. Optional excursions are available such as; boat trips for snorkeling and diving round Magawish and Giftun islands in the wonderful clear waters of the Red Sea, which are full of corals, dolphins and magnificent colored fish. Trips by motorbike into the desert to watch the sun set, or take a morning to quad bike and lunch in a Bedouin camp. Or, you could just simply, relax and take in the atmosphere of the sun, sea and sand, the choice is yours.
Day 14: Khan el Khalili Souq
After breakfast in your hotel you will be collected by a/c vehicle and driven to Cairo, where you will have free time in the city, maybe for a shopping trip to Khan el Khalili Souq, the oldest market in Cairo thought to have been trading since the 1400’s Return to your hotel and overnight stay.
Day 15: Departure
After breakfast our tour representative will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo international airport for your return flight home.
