Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival
Arrive in Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International airport, where you will be met and assisted by our airport representatives who will assist check you out, give you a briefing of your safari and help you get into your safari bus and drive to the city center to arrive in good time for check in and Dinner at the Hotel. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Safari Club.
Day 2: Mount Kenya National Park
After breakfast you will be picked up from your city hotel and drive via thika road through coffee and pineapple plantation to thika town then further to the lush foothills of Mount Kenya to the luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club, which sits almost on the Equator facing the second highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kenya (17,058 feet/ 5,199 meters).
Although situated on the Equator, Mount Kenya is permanently covered in glaciers and snow. The Mount Kenya Safari Club provides excellent views of the peak, especially in the morning. The Club is one of Kenya's most luxurious hotels and was founded in the 1950's by a group including American actor William Holden. This afternoon is free for you to enjoy some of the many activities offered by the Club, including golf, tennis, bowls, horse riding and fishing. This evening we enjoy a sumptuous 8-course dinner served with silver cutlery and linen napkins in the finest Old World tradition. Have the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Mt. Kenya Safari Club.
Day 3: Mount Kenya/ Aberdares National Park
After breakfast drive from mount Kenya where we can be able to see the picks of mount Kenya if the skies are clear, down to the lush foothills of the Aberdares National park and arrive at the Outspan Golf and Country Club for lunch then a short nature walk to their farm to see animals like the Giraffes and small antelopes. Later in the afternoon you will be transfered to the Treetops Hotel. This is a tree hotel where children under 07 years are not allowed, it was once visited by the queen of England, you are allowed to carry only light bags and the rest of the luggage will remain at out span under good care. The lodge overlooks a waterhole and salt lick where the 'Big Five' occasionally gather for an exhilarating night of wild encounters, it comprises three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing. You are able to see the animals from the balconies of your rooms. Dinner and Overnight at Treetops Hotel.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive back to Outspan park our bags into the tour vans and depart the aberdares via Nyahururu and stop at the Thomson falls to enjoy the scenery around the falls and the seven falls. We have a picnic lunch at the site and drive on to Lake Nakuru National Park. It is famous as the home to thousands of greater and lesser flamingo. The park also provides sanctuary for Rothschild giraffe, rhino and leopard. Arrive for lunch in Nakuru. We take an Afternoon game drive in the park where we will be able to see different species of birds including the famous flamingos and more recently leopards, black rhino and white rhino. Drive on and arrive at the lodge in good time for check in and dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill.
Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, we depart on our safari to the famous and seventh wonder of the world Maasai mara game reserve drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive at the lodge in good time for check in and lunch. Have the rest of the afternoon at leisure and take an evening game drive around the park. Return to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the night at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Keekkorok Lodge.
Day 5: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, take an early morning game drive that takes you around the park to see animals, birds and plants. Some of the animals that you will see include Lions, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, wildebeests and other antelopes. You will also visit to the Mara River to view the hippos, crocodiles and other water animals. Return to the lodge in good time for lunch and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. There is an option of an early morning balloon safari with a champagne-style breakfast in the wild but this is at an exra cost. Take an evening drive and return to the lodge in good time for dinner and the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Keekkorok Lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara/ Nairobi
Depart Maasai mara after breakfast and drive via the old Naivasha road where you will see different attractions that will include Mt. Longonot, Mt Suswa, the old Italian church build by the prisoners of war in the early 1900s, the Rift valley view point where you will stop to view the rift valley and a briefing on the formation and curio shops. Arrive in Nairobi in good time for lunch then be transfered to the airport for check in for your flight back home.
