Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Cairo. Welcome to Egypt! Our representative will meet you to ensure a smooth path through immigration and customs. You have time to explore at your leisure.
Day 2: Cairo/ Desert Tour. Full-day outing to Sakkara and Memphis, followed by a visit to the most famous wonderland in the whole world - the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. At 10 pm we catch the overnight train to Luxor. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Arrive in Luxor and check-in at hotel. Today Morning Guided tour to East Bank where you can visit Luxor Temple: temple of Luxor was dedicated to Amon - Ra, Whose marriage to Mut was celebrated annually, when the sacred procession moved by boat from Karnak to Luxor temple. Karnak Temple: This is the greatest place of worship in history. It includes many singular temples, dedicated to Amun , his wife (mut), and their son (Khonsu), the moon deity. Since the Arab conquest, it became known as "Al-Karnak": the fort.
Day 4: Early breakfast we start your visit with your guide in a/c car to West Bank including:
- Valley of kings, queens: these are two tombs, ordered by the kings and queens of the middle kingdom to be carved in the rock - faces of the valley.
- Memnon colossi: the only remnants of a temple commemorating Amenhotep III.
Transfer to Luxor railway station to Aswan. Meet at Aswan station and transfer to your hotel and over night.
Day 5: In the morning and after breakfast, visit the High-Dam and unfinished obelisk. High - Dam: a fine example of a modern Egyptian technology. Unfinished Obelisk: the granite quarries are the location of the famed unfinished obelisk 41 meters long and about 1138 tons. Overnight Aswan.
Day 6: In the early morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and join us on excursion over land in a collective tour up the Nile to Abu Simbel to visit the breathtaking temples of Pharaoh Ramses the Great and Queen Nefertari. Transfer to Aswan railway station for firsts class sitting night train to Cairo and overnight.
Day 7: Cairo. Arrive Cairo and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Then we're off to the Egyptian Museum where most of the fabulous treasures of the Pharaohs are kept. Then we drive to the Citadel - home to Egyptian rulers for nearly 700 years. Later, we explore many attractions in the old Coptic area including the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue (the Jewish Temple). Overnight in Cairo hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 8: Depart Cairo. Farewell to Egypt today. All site entrance fees are exclusive. We do not charge in advance for site entrance fees to add flexibility to your program as you may choose to skip one or more sites depending upon your interests.
