Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Addis upon arrival evening arrival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Members on the group flight are greeted with the traditional Ethiopia hospitality at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2: Addis Ababa/Arba Minch- Early departure for a full day drive past villages and small towns. Overnight at Bekele Mola Hotel.
Day 3: Arba Minch – In the morning visit Chencha to see ethnic tribes in their village. In the afternoon visit Nech Sar National Park to see games. Overnight in Bekele Molla Hotel.
Day 4: Arba MInch-Excursion by boat on Lake Chamo to see various species of birds and crocodiles at the Crocodile Market. Overnight in Bekele Molla Hotel.
Day 5: Arba Minch/Jinka – Early departure after breakfast and drive across various villages and ethnic groups of Konso, Tsemai and Bena. Overnight in a Local Hotel in Jinka.
Day 6: Jinka/Mago Natioinal Park – Early morning after breakfast drive to Mago National park. In the afternoon drive across the park to see games and ethnic tribes. Overnight camping at Mago.
Day 7: Mago/Mursi/Mago – Departure towards Mursi village which is one of the most interesting ethnics of the area and are famous for the way they decorate themselves by putting disc of clay on their perforated lower lip. In the afternoon return to the camping site at Mago for an overnight.
Day 8: Mago/Karo (Duss)/Turmi – Drive through various villages, ethnic groups and past the great Omo River, on which the tribe depends. Overnight camping at Turmi campsite.
Day 9: Turmi/Geleb/Turmi- Early morning departure to visit the village and ethnic tribe of the Hamer who are also famous for their unique tradition, custom, culture and way of life.
Day 10: Turmi/Arba Minch – A full day drive passing through various village and ethic groups such as the Macheke of the Konso upon arrival to Arba Minch relax and overnight in Bekele Molla Hotel.
Day 11: Arba Minch/Awassa – In Awassa panoramic visit of the twon and Lake Awassa, Rest and overnight in Awassa Wabi Shebele Hotel.
Day 12: Awassa/Addis Ababa- Depart to Addis after an early morning visit to the fish Market in Awassa. Overnight in Addis Ababa seeing the traditional and/or modern city nightlife, traditional Ethiopian dinner hosted by the fest Ethiopia group.
Day 13: Visit Addis Ababa purchase of artifacts, antiques and a little presented in the fest Ethiopia office and later that night depart for home.
