Day 2: Beijing. Our adventure begins in the heart of Beijing, Tienanmen Square, the largest public space on earth. Then step back in time as we pass through the Gate of Heavenly Peace and enter the Forbidden City, more than 200 acres of perfectly preserved palaces, temples, elaborate squares and formal gardens. We’ll stroll cobblestone paths once known only to the Emperor’s most intimate advisers, visit the private apartments of Imperial concubines and see stunning collections of priceless art, furnishings, and jewelry. Later this afternoon we’ll visit the Summer Palace, a fairyland of pagodas and stone sculptures on the outskirts of the city. This evening enjoy the capital’s most famous dining experience - a Peking duck dinner.

Day 3: Beijing. Enjoy a full day’s tour of Great Wall, one of the greatest engineering feats of the ancient world. Another high point of the excursion is the Sacred Way and its remarkable statues that stand vigil at the entrance of the tombs of the Ming emperors and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall. Next visit the ornate Temple of Heaven, where the emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties prayed for a good harvest. The temple not only especially glamorous, it is also known as an architectural wonder that not a single nail was used for its construction. You tour guide will take you to a local restaurant for dinner and then explore Beijing’s local market on your own after enjoying your favorite Chinese cuisine.

Day 4: Beijing – Shanghai – Wuxi. Today you will take a morning flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Wuxi, an attractive garden city located by the beautiful Tai Hu Lake. You will see its lovely scenery from Turtle Head Islet, so named for its shape. Then you will visit a clay-figure studio which has been operating for over 400 years. Stay overnight at a deluxe hotel.

Day 5: Wuxi. This morning, you will experience more of this charming water town by taking a cruise boat along the Grand Canal. In the afternoon you are free to sample the local cuisine and walk along the Grand Canal or the cobblestone streets on your own.

Day 6: Wuxi – Suzhou –Shanghai. This morning you will be transferred to Suzhou, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its 2,000-year-old gardens which have been described as living poems. You will visit Tiger Hill and the Master’s Nets Garden. Then visit a silk weaving factory to see silk fibers being separated from cocoon and wound onto spools, and admire fine-intricate designs at Silk Embroidery Research. Drive to Shanghai and check-in your deluxe hotel.

Day 7: Shanghai. Today you will stroll along the Bund, a riverside promenade with grand colonial buildings, and then visit Yu Garden and the Shanghai Museum which houses a collection of 120,000 pieces of cultural relics. Enjoy a thrilling Acrobatic Show after the farewell dinner.
