Tour Itinerary: DAY 1: ISTANBUL Arrival in Istanbul, meeting and assistance and then transfer to your selected hotel in Istanbul . Balance of the day at leisure. DAY 2: ISTANBUL After breakfast full day visit to Istanbul. Visits to the outstanding monuments of Ottoman & Byzantine Empires, the Roman Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia (closed on Mondays), Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace (closed on Tuesdays), Suleiman the Magnificent Mosque and Grand Bazaar with over 4000 stores. (closed on Sundays). Lunch at local restaurant & back to the hotel at dusk. DAY 3: ISTANBUL Day at leisure to explore the city. Do not miss the opportunity to join an optional tour to Bosporus and the Two Continents. DAY 4: ISTANBUL - CAIRO At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrival meeting, assistance & transfer to your hotel in Cairo . Balance of the day at leisure. DAY 5: CAIRO Full day Cairo sightseeing, starts with Giza where the three Pyramids of Keops, Kephren and Mikyreenos are located. Visit to the Sphinx and Valley of the Temple, lunch and continuation of the tour with the Egyptian Museum, where we can see the treasure of Tut Ankh Amoun and other Old Egyptian treasures. Proceed to old Cairo where we visit the Mosque of Mohamed Aly and the Citadel of Salah El Din. DAY 6: CAIRO Day at leisure to explore the city. In the evening an optional “Sound and Light” tour at the Pyramids is highly recommended. DAY 7: CAIRO - ATHENS At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Athens. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel in Athens . Balance of the day at leisure. DAY 8: ATHENS Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous monuments: House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Adrian’s Arch, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, “State of the art” in museum construction and very rich in content. On Mondays the new Acropolis Museum is closed. Afternoon free to visit the old Athens city (Plaka) with lots of restaurants, taverns and souvenir shops DAY 9: ATHENS Day at leisure to explore the city or join an optional tour to Delphi or Corinth Mycenae and Epidaurus.
