It's day 5 of your Montana family vacation. Your 13-year-old son, Sam, sits proudly atop his mount, sporting his new cowboy hat (a last minute purchase in Bozeman). He rides upfront next to your guide, Jack, a 4th generation wrangler. Sam is all smiles – he couldn't be happier, making his way on horseback up a mountain beside a real-life cowboy! Something tells you the new hat might be a permanent fixture on Sam's head for the rest of the summer.
Welcome to your Montana vacation. Hike into the Yellowstone national park backcountry, along stream side trails and across ski runs carpeted in flowers. Bike along gently rolling country roads past postcard-perfect farms and ranches and raft a playful stretch of the beautiful Yellowstone River. And when night falls, relax and recharge with a soak in a soothing hot spring and Big Sky Country’s tasty cuisine.

Nights 1 - 2: The 320 Ranch.
Your Montana vacation starts at The 320 Ranch offers exceptional cowboy comfort just south of Big Sky Ski Resort, where the pristine Gallatin River winds through sage and towering pines, and mountains rise up against crystal blue skies.
Night 3: Lake Yellowstone Hotel.
Lake Yellowstone Hotel was completed in 1891 and restored to its 1920s grandeur in 1990. The majestic hotel sits on the shore of Yellowstone Lake and is listed on the Register of Historic Places.
Nights 4 - 5: Chico Hot Springs Resort
This rustic-chic inn boasts mineral hot spring-fed pools, extensive gardens, spa services and exceptional dining. The Main Lodge at Chico Hot Springs offers a wide range of accommodations from rustic log cabins to more modern accommodations. In June of 1999 Chico Hot Springs was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
