Bob Culp is an AMGA certified rock climbing instructor and has been teaching and guiding in the Boulder area since 1969. This two day Basic Rock course presents the fundamentals of traditional rock climbing. Students learn by climbing in an extraordinary world class setting near Boulder Colorado. The course prepares students to climb second on traditional multi-pitch routes. Join Bob for two days of instruction and an exciting climbing adventure.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1:
Class meets in Boulder at 9am. Drive to climbing area. Fundamental rock climbing techniques such as belaying, use of the rope, moving on rock, communication, rappelling, and climber safety are discussed and put into practice on multi-pitch climbs. Back to Boulder by 5pm.

Day 2:
Meet in Boulder at 9 am. Drive to climbing area. Further practice on all basic techniques with emphasis upon anchor placement. Course finishes with multi-pitch graduation climb. Back to Boulder by 5 pm.

Notes:
Airfare is not included in the tour price.

Prices include instruction, equipment, and transportation to and from the climbing area. Clients pay for their own room and board. School will help with reservations if needed. Economical accommodations are available at the Boulder International Hostel.
