Your African Safari starts in Windhoek and then heads south the beautiful Namib Desert at Sossusvlei. Experience the magnetic attraction of the Namib Desert before heading to the Atlantic Coast and the adventure capital of Namibia at Swakopmund. Spend a day exploring this quant town with its rich German heritage or become an adrenaline junky by doing some of the many adrenaline pumping activities on offer such as tandem sky dive over the desert or quad bike tours through the desert.
After all the activities the tour moves the enormous colony of Cape Fur Seals at Cape Cross and on to view the Rock Art at Twyfelfontein. The next stop will allow you to meet the Himba people at their village and see their wonderful way of life, followed by a visit to a Cheetah Conservation project. The next two days we traverse the beautiful Etosha National Park that offers some of the best and most consistent wildlife viewing opportunities available in Southern Africa. Our journey now takes us to the Kavango Region of Namibia on the border with Angola. We visit the Shambiyu Community and the Meyana School. The route now takes us to the Okavango Delta in Botswana for one night on the edge of the Delta and the next day we fly over the southern portion of the Okavango Delta to our camp at Chief's Island. After an evening of listening to the delightful chorus of nature, we board the Makoro boats and explore the quiet waterways and the amazing bird life of the Okavango Delta with our local guide. After a sumptuous lunch we fly back to Maun and our route takes us across the Makgadigadi, Nxai and Ntwentwe Pans en-route to the Chobe National Park on the border between Botswana, Namibia and Zambia along a road fondly referred to as "Elephant Alley". Get up close to Hippopotamus, Elephant and many other species when we take a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River. The last leg of our overland journey takes us across the mighty Zambezi River on a ferry to the town of Livingstone and one of the natural wonders of the world, the beautiful Victoria Falls. We spend two nights at our lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River in close proximity to the "Falls", before our tour ends on the morning of day sixteen. National Parks visited and traversed en-route: Namib Naukluft, Sossusvlei, Cape Cross, Skeleton Coast, Etosha, Mahangu, Okavango Delta, Kgalagadi, Nxai and Ntwentwe Pan, Chobe, Mosi-Oa-Tunya and finally, Victoria Falls.
