Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Guests are picked up at the Durban airport or their accommodation. We head to Kosi Bay. We stop half way for lunch at an arts and crafts gallery where guests are also able to buy gifts and souvenirs. After refreshments and welcome on their arrival at Amangwane camp, we take a tranquil walk to a lookout point overlooking the estuary system to enjoy sundowners with a view you will never forget. Feast on a superb dinner before relaxing by the campfire for the evening. Day 2: The day’s activities commence with a trip down to the Kosi Bay estuary with local fisherman and host, Elmon Mkhonto. Guests are invited to explore the traditional fish traps, which date back six hundred years, as well as participate in the unique art of traditional spear fishing. Relax and enjoy the ambiance of the uninhabited surroundings and before catching the incoming tide, and with it, superb snorkeling opportunities, before settling into a secluded picnic site on the beaches of the Indian Ocean. Day 3: A morning safari to Tembe Elephant Reserve – this big 5 jewel has some of the largest elephants in Southern Africa as well as many other big and small game species such as Back Rhino, lions, many antelope species and amazing birdlife. After lunch head down to the clear and calm waters of the Kosi bay estuary again for more fun in the sun. Day 4: Guests have the choice of either enjoying a community walk taking in some local culture and visiting the nearby school, or spending one last morning at the bay soothing the soul.
