Sailing comfortably and splendidly on board the regal RV Paukan 2007, indulge in a truly idyllic river voyage unsurpassed in quality and charm. Newly completed and beautifully crafted, the RV Paukan 2007 is the latest addition to the Ayravata Cruises fleet. The younger but bigger sister ship to RV Pandaw 1947,the Paukan is an exquisite floating boutique hotel that is built in similar style as the old steamers that used to ply the Burmese rivers.

Cruises run downstream from Mandalay to Bagan or upstream from Bagan to Mandalay. Time is spent on board relaxing on the sundeck and observing the river panoramas as well as ashore to explore ancient temples or visit the languid villages by the river.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Mandalay (Gawein) - Mingun (Sunday). Embark the RV Paukan 2007 at 12.30pm at Gawein jetty. You will be greeted with a welcome cocktail in the Saloon Bar followed by lunch shortly. Sailing upstream along Ayeyarwady River to Mingun, we will take you on a guided exploration of Mingun Pagoda Complex, a massive unfinished stupa. When evening comes, the boat will moor overnight near a mid-stream sandbank while you enjoy a relishing dinner on board. Overnight on board RV Paukan 2007. Includes: (L, D).

Day 2: Mandalay - Sagaing - Bagan (Monday). At dawn, as we will sail downstream, immerse in the natural beauty of the river and observe the lives on its banks while relaxing on the sun deck or sitting outside your cabin. Revel in the captivating sunrise over Sagaing Hill. Following an early breakfast, you can go ashore to visit Sagaing, widely regarded as the religious heart of Myanmar. In the late afternoon, we will bring you to visit a characteristic river village to gain an insight into the locals' lives. We will then continue cruising the river before mooring alongside a river village or a sandbank for the evening. Overnight on board RV Paukan 2007. Includes: (B, L, D).

Day 3: Disembarkation at Bagan (Tuesday). As dawn breaks, we will set sail downstream to Bagan. After breakfast, if time permits, we will visit another river village. Enjoy a spectacular sunrise near Bagan before disembarking near Wet-Kyi-Inn Village, 4km north of Bagan at mid-morning. Includes: (B).
