Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Ha Noi by flight. Meet at Noi Bai airport. Transfer to the hotel for check in. The rest of the day free at leisure.
Day 2: Hanoi - Lao Cai. Breakfast at hotel. Full day city tour: Ho Chi Minh’s (closed on Monday, Friday and the entire months of October and November), Still House, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit of Museum of Ethnology. Take 1 hour cycle to visit Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Attend a performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long Theater. Transfer to Ha Noi train station. Overnight trip to Lao Cai in sharing comfortable sleeping compartment with 2 lower and 2 upper berths per compartment. Overnight on the train. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa. Early morning (approximate 05.30h), arrival at Lao Cai station, pick up and transfer to Sapa. Breakfast at hotel in Sapa. Trekking to Cat Cat village to visit H’mong people. Lunch at a local restaurant. A scenic 6 km drive brings you to Ta Phin Villages, lying in a hillside meadow, it is home to Red Dzao and H’Mong people. Accommodation. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 4: Sapa – Bac Ha - Lao Cai. Early breakfast at hotel. Check out from the hotel depart by car for the highland town of Bac Ha where you can wander through the local ethnic market. Bac Ha is a center for alcohol manufacture and at the end of the busy day at the market the men folk can often be seen wending their merry way home. After lunch at a local restaurant time for a last look around Bac Ha before driving to Lao Cai, where you will board the overnight train to Ha Noi at around 20:15h. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 5: Ha Noi – Arrival in Ha Noi at around 04.30h (but you might remain on board until 07.00h). Breakfast at coffee shop. Transfer to Noi Bai airport for departure flight. Includes: (B).
