Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Departure from an airport in the United States to Vienna. You’ll be in a new "old" world in the morning.

Day 2; Arrive at the Vienna Airport and transfer with private coach to a charming Viennese hotel, located close to the Inner City. Check in and relax in the comfort of your room. In the afternoon you’ll stroll through the historic Inner City of Vienna with an English speaking guide including a visit to the historic produce market "Naschmarkt" (to see where the chefs buy the produce) and the "Schokolade Konig" (a Viennese chocolate maker’s shop), ending up for an early dinner in Vienna's oldest restaurant, Griechenbeisl.

Day 3: After your buffet breakfast at the hotel you will attend your first cooking class at the "Drei Husaren". Restaurant in the Inner City, where you will receive instructions on cooking Viennese dishes. You will eat what you have prepared in this elegant Haute Cuisine Restaurant. You can spend your free afternoon in one of Vienna's museums or do some shopping. Dinner on your own.

Day 4: After your buffet breakfast you will attend your second cooking class at the "Drei Husaren" Restaurant in the Inner City, where you will again receive instructions on cooking Viennese dishes. You will eat what you have prepared in this elegant Haute Cuisine Restaurant. In the afternoon you1ll go on your private sightseeing tour of the City of Vienna with an English-speaking guide. Tour includes the Ringstrasse with all its famous buildings and Schönbrunn Palace. Dinner on own in one of Vienna's charming pubs, elegant restaurants or "Corner Wurst-Stands".

Day 5: After buffet breakfast in the hotel you will go on a special tour with your guide, visiting the Imperial Table Setting Museum to see the Habsburg Porcelain Collection at the Imperial Winter Palace and the Lobmeyer Glass Collection (whose chandeliers are at Metropolitan Opera); following this you will go to the Cafe Diglas (one of Vienna’s oldest bakery and pastry shop).

With your guide where you will watch the pastry chef demonstrating how to make the world-famous Esterhazy Torte; you can have lunch at the Diglas on your own; the cake will be served as dessert with coffee after your lunch. You can use your knowledge of Vienna and stroll around or shop in one of the wonderful shops you have passed on your walking tour. For dinner we suggest the Sky Restaurant on top of a building in the Inner City with a grand view and excellent food (optional).

Day 6: After buffet breakfast there is your final cooking class at the world-renown Culinary Institute "Am Judenplatz" (this was the location where Herzerl Tours brought the Food Network channel to tape the cooking show with Robin Leach and Sally-Jessica Raphael). Again, you will learn from a master chef to prepare some of the well-known Viennese dishes and then partake of what you have prepared for lunch. Afternoon is free for more explorations of Vienna. We suggest an early dinner, which is on your own. In the evening you will attend a chamber concert with music by Mozart and Strauss at one of Vienna's Palaces, Palais Auersperg.

Day 7: This is your last day in Vienna and you have a free morning – you can take the occasion and attend the Spanish riding School rehearsal or visit the famous catacombs where the Habsburg emperors lay in their caskets. In the afternoon you will set out with your guide by public transportation (like a native) across the Danube to a vintner in Stammersdorf (still part of Vienna).

There you will taste whites and reds grown on the surrounding hills from Wieninger (a family growing wines in Vienna for hundred years). And then you will experience another Viennese tradition – the Heuriger – where you will eat and drink and listen to Viennese music – also at Wieninger’s. You return by public transportation to your hotel.

Day 8: After your last buffet breakfast you will transfer from the hotel to Vienna airport in private coach with English speaking assistant for your flight back to the USA. Every participant receives a certificate from: Am Judenplatz/ Cafe Diglas/ Drei Husaren. Tour prices are based on exchange rate at the time of publication and may be changed if necessary.
