Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Saturday: Arrival and transfer by private car (in Venice by water taxi) to your hotel; check in and relax in your room. In the afternoon you will go on a private walking tour to get your first overview of the city, which ends with an early dinner in a typical restaurant.
Day 2, Sunday: Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast you will attend a choir mass by a famous composer (a la Mozart or Vivaldi). In the afternoon another sight seeing adventure awaits you topped off by a cultural experience special to that city.
Day 3, Monday: Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast you may do your own thing – shopping, museum or strolling around. In the afternoon you will check out of your hotel and transfer to the Spa town and hotel in your package; check in and relax in your room or reconnoiter the grounds of the hotel. Dinner will be at the hotel’s gourmet restaurant.
Day 4, Tuesday: Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast you will meet with the Spa personnel and plan your treatments. You may start right away with your first experience. You can also discuss the additional events such as wine tasting or cooking lecture etc. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Day 5, Wednesday: Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast you will meet with the Spa personnel and plan your treatments. You may start right away with your first experience. You can also discuss the additional events such as wine tasting or cooking lecture etc. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Day 6, Thursday: Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast you will meet with the Spa personnel and plan your treatments. You may start right away with your first experience. You can also discuss the additional events such as wine tasting or cooking lecture etc. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Day 7, Friday: Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast you will meet with the Spa personnel and plan your treatments. You may start right away with your first experience. You can also discuss the additional events such as wine tasting or cooking lecture etc. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Day 8, Saturday: Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Your glorious experience has come to an end. Check out and transfer to the airport for your return home.
Note: The first 2 days you will spend in one of the following cities(usually a weekend) where you will make the city tour.
* Option 1: Vienna and Baden - Austria. Spend two glorious days in this wonderful jewel of a city, Vienna, the capital of Austria, studded with glamorous buildings, churches and parks from Gothic to Biedermeier. A chance to immerse yourself into the culture will be combined with wonderful culinary experiences in some of Vienna’s leading restaurants and a visit to the opera house or one of Vienna’s fabulous concert halls.
Then travel one-hour south from Vienna to the Imperial Spa town Baden. There in the heart of this town in a former Biedermeier Palais lies the Grand hotel Sauerhof. A wonderful ambience created by Biedermeier architecture and modern conveniences awaits you. Indulge in the special Spa treatments, the great cuisine; attend a cooking class with the renowned chef and enjoy an outing to taste the local wines.
* Option 2: Salzburg and Bad Gastein - Austria. Salzburg, an Italianate Baroque city, practically brims with church steeples and castle towers, with the landmark mountain and its fortress still standing guard. During the two day stay walk in Mozart’s foot step; then skip a couple centuries and visit the locations of "Sound Of Music". The culture will be rounded out by great food in unusual restaurants.
From there you travel South into a valley of the Alps to the spa town of Bad Gastein and to the unique hotel village Grüner Baum (family owned and run) nestled in the mountains, yet only a short car ride from the elegant century old Spa jewel Bad Gastein. The treatments are unique; the food is superb served in great style. And the rooms show the wonderful taste of the owner – you may not want to leave ever.
* Option 3: Venice and Abano - Italy. What could be more exciting than starting this trip staying two days in Venice, a magical fantasy. You stroll through little streets, cross a bridge over a canal only to be surprised by some magnificent church or palace; you take a vaporetto along the Canale Grande and can literally experience the times of the Doges and Vivaldi. You will get a chance to taste the cuisine of the Veneto regions and toast your friends with a glass of Prosecco (the local bubbly).
And then in only a short hour west you come to Abano, the spa town of the rich and famous. A typical European spa town of elegance, yet very apropos of today’s world as is the hotel Metropole, offering you treatments, cooking classes and divine wine tastings in the Gauaen hills.
