Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Istanbul. Transfer to hotel, Overnight at Hali Hotel. Includes: (B).

Day 2: Istanbul - Erzurum - Olgunlar. Transfer to Olgunlar village overnight at Kackar pension. (Total 5 hours transfer). Includes: (B).

Day 3: Olgunlar - Dilberduzu.From here we start our trek to Dilberduzu, accompanied by horses carrying the luggage. After a walk approximately 3 hours we pitch our tents. From our base-camp we do acclimatization-walks in the area. Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 4: Dilberduzu - Kackar Summit (3932m). Early ascend to Kackar summit, the highest peak of the Eastern Black Sea region. If the weather permits we will have very nice view of Kackar Mountains. We will be back to the same camp site in the afternoon. Total walking is around 8 hours. Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 5: Dilberduzu - Barhal - Yusufeli. A straight descent of the Hevek valley on clear paths alongside the stream, stopping at Olgunlar village for lunch. After drive down to Yusufeli Township via Barhal village, following the Barhal stream running next to the road. O/n at pension. Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 6: Yusufeli-Kars. Transfer to Kars city and to Ani Ancient city of Armenians dating back to 10th Century A.D.A thousand years ago Ani was the capital of an Armenian kingdom that covered much of present day Armenia and eastern Turkey. Ani had a population of at least 100,000 and its wealth and renown was such that it was known as "the city of 1001 churches". Built on a spectacular site - a plateau encircled by deep ravines - Ani's many churches, palaces, and fortifications were amongst the most technically and artistically advanced structures in the world at that period. The city is 45 km away on the east of Kars, after visiting we drive back to hotel. (Total transfer 4-5 hours) Overnight at Karabag hotel. Includes:(B),(D).

Day 7: Kars - Dogubayazit. We start driving via Digor and Tuzluca Salt Caves to Dogubayazit check in the hotel. Our guide and our representative in the town will go our for shopping and arranging other stuff for camps. You have some free time to see the interesting bazaars of the towmn. Late in the afternoon our guide will take you up to Ishak Pasa Palace, dating back to 18th Century, a place which can be compared to Ottoman Palace of Topkapi. Overnight at Golden Hill hotel. Includes:(B),(D).

Day 8: Eli Village Camp. Drive up to Eli village (or Cevirme Village) by truck. The trek starts from 2500m. After walking 4 hours we will reach to base camp 3200m where we spend overnight.Ascend: 700m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 9: Acclimatization Day. Today is acclimatisation day up 4000m. Strolls up in the mountain, overnight at same camp site 3200m. Ascend: 1000m Descend: 1000m. (You can also do acclimatization From the second camp or depending on the meteorological conditions we can use this day for bad weather back up day). Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 10: Camp 2 4200 Meters. Trek up to second camp site; it will take 4 to 5 hours walking. Camping at the intermediary camping site just before the summit slope. Ascend 1000m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 11: Summit Day (5137 m). Very early ascend to Mt. Ararat. Walking on the glacier routes up to summit, from the summit, at sunrise we will be able to see the summit of Mt. Elbruz and the little Ararat. Descending to Camp 2 for overnight, Total ascend and descending for 8 to 9 hours. Ascend: 937m. Descend: 937m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).

Day 12: Camp 2 Dogubayazit - Van. Descend down to Eli village via our first campsite and nomad groups around. We meet a truck near Eli village and drive down to Dogubayazit. In the afternoon, transfer to Van city for 2h30. Overnight at Akdamar Hotel. Includes:(B).

Day 13: Van-Istanbul. In the morning transfer to Van airport, fly back to Istanbul. After meet at our minibus transfer to Hotel. Includes: (B).

Day 14: Istanbul. This morning your guide will take you around some of Istanbul's famous sites; all are close to the old part of town - Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, hippodrome square (obelisks), Basilica Cistern. Istanbul, formerly known as Constantinople, was the hub of the Ottoman Empire, and many of the grand buildings of this period are present today. The markets too, would be little changed from early times, a chaotic mix of goods and wares brought by people near and far to trade.

Foods, clothing, jewelery, leather goods can be found at reasonable prices if you bargain. The afternoon is free to explore the town at your leisure. You could easily spend a week in this city and still not have seen all the sites. Overnight Hali Hotel. Includes:(B).

Day 15: Istanbul-Home. In the morning transfer to airport, fly back to Home.
