Groups begin with an educational tour of the Centre with a qualified guide, learning about Manitoba's prehistory. Then join the our staff at a dig site searching and excavating 80 million year old fossils. The dig sites are a 20 minute drive from our Center into the scenic Manitoba Escarpment.
Tour Itinerary:
- 10.00 am - Meet at our Center.
- 10.00 - 11.00 am - Tour of the Center, Collections Room and Laboratory.
- 11.00 - 11.30 am - Break for Lunch.
- 11.30 am - 12.00 pm - Drive to the Dig Site.
- 12.00 - 12.15 pm - Review and Discuss Field Techniques.
- 12.15 - 2.00 pm - Dig / Excavate.
- 2.00 - 2.30 pm - Drive back to Morden.
