Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Van-Dogubayazit. Meet at the airport. Transfer to Dogubayazit. On the way, visit Muradiye waterfalls and via Tendurek Volcano (3 hours drive) we arrive to Dogubayazit town. Afternoon there is the possibility to visit Ishak Pacha palace from 17th.Century, in the foot of Mount Ararat. Overnight at hotel in Dogubayazit. Includes:(B),(D).
Day 2: Eli Village-Camp I. Drive up to Eli village by truck. The walk starts from 2200 m. After walking 4 hours we will reach to base
camp at 3200 m where we spend overnight at camp. Ascend: 700 m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).
Day 3: Acclimatization Day. Acclimatisation day up 4000 m. Strolls up in the mountain. Overnight at same camp site 3200 m. Ascend: 1000 m Descend:1000 m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).
Day 4: Camp II - 4200 Meters. Trek up to second camp site; it will take 4 to 5 hours walking. Camping at the intermediary camping site,
just before the summit slope. Ascend 1000 m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).
Day 5: Summit Day (5137 m). Very early ascend to Mt. Ararat. Walking on the glacier routes up to summit. From the summit, at sunrise we will be able to see the summit of Mt. Elbruz and the little Ararat. Descending to Camp 1 for overnight. Total ascend and descending for 8 to 9 hours. Ascend: 937 . Descend: 1937. Includes:(B),(L),(D).
Day 6: Camp 1-Dogubayazit-Van. Descend down to Eli village via our first campsite and nomad groups around. We meet a truck near Eli
village and drive down to Dogubayazit. In the afternoon, we transfer to Van city and overnight at Hotel. Descend: 2000 m. Includes:(B),(L),(D).
Day 7: Van. In the morning we drive to Gevas town and take a
boat to visit Akdamar island which is the home to a 10th century Armenian church, known as the Cathedral Church of the Holy Cross (915-921), and was the seat of an Armenian Catholicos from 1116 to
1895. In the afternoon, visit to Van castle, constructed in 9 BC at 80 m height from the lake by Urartian king Sardur the first was bearing the name Tuspa. One of the most remarkable structures
around is the rock tomb of Argisti the first, outside which is a long inscription relating the events of his reign. Overnight at hotel. Includes:(B).
Day 8: Van - Home. Transfer to airport. Back to home.
