Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Istanbul - Trabzon. Arrival Trabzon with domestic flight (1h 30 min). Transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Trabzon-Ayder. In the morning we will drive about 40 min (46 km) to Sumela monastery that is dating back to 5th century A.D. The monastery is also known as monastery of Virgin Mary. After visiting this extraordinary place we will drive about 3hrs to Ayder Yayla which has turned in to very developed village from a primitive high pasture for the villagers in the past. Ayder Yayla is hot springs village and about 1250 m high. Overnight in pension. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Ayder-Yukari Kavron-Dupeduzu Yayla. In the morning from Ayder we will drive about 40 min to reach Yukary Kavron on dirt road. Our trek will start from yukary kavron aiming to Dupeduzu Yayla. To reach Dupeduz Yayla we will pass over Caymakcur Pass and visit one of the biggest lakes. We will be in the campsite (Dupeduz Yayla) late in the afternoon. (6-7 hrs). Overnight in the camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Dupeduzu Yayla-Dilberduzu. We start our trek early in the morning. We pass through the old stone houses of Dobe Yayla and will reach Olgunlar village where we have an option to have traditional Turkish pan cake in a very small cafe. (2 hrs) Just after the break in Olgunlar village we will take a very gentle path on the left-side valley. On this path we will rise up to Dylberduzu (2900 m) which is our green campsite surrounded by high mountains (3hrs). This camp is our base camp for Mt. Kackar summit attempts. Overnight in the camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: Dilberduzu-Mt.Kackar. We will start very early in the morning to catch better conditions of snow and weather. Almost all the route is clear paths on rocky and scree surfaces. Both way of the climb (up and back) will take us about 7-8 hrs. We will return the same camp .Overnight in the camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 6: Dilberduzu-Tasyayla. First part of day's trek is an easy descent to Heveg village then a nice walk along a gorge and visit two villages Karamolla and Korahmet on the way. We will camp nearby a river and very close to the local people's settlement. o/n in the camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Tasyayla-Pisenkara. It is a climb day again; we will climb up to a nameless pass at an altitude of 3100m. From the pass we will be amazed by wonderful view of Altiparmak and Bulut region. After the pass it is about 1hr and 30 min. easy walk top our campsite nearby a river again. O/n in the campsite. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 8: Pisenkara-Satibe. Walk on gentle paths with nice views and passing through a couple of Yaylas. We will have great chance of observing architectural characteristics of wooden houses and water mills. It will take us around 5 hrs to reach Satibe ridge. It is a very large green place that we use for campsite. This campsite is one of the highlights of the trip. (2250 m.) Overnight in the camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: Satybe Hill-Barhal Village. Descend down the Cicek valley to Altiparmak (Barhal) (1250m). From our spectacular campsite, we contour along a watercourse before descending steeply down the valley below, through the yaylas of Nazrara and Yukari Catallar. After a river crossing we enter forest and follow the stabilized road leading into Altiparmak. (5 hrs). Before reaching the village center, we turn uphill to the unique, substantial Georgian 11th C church of the four Apostles, now a mosque, nestling on a slope on the village outskirts. Dinner and Over night in pension overlooking the valley. (Double rooms, shared bathrooms). Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 10: Barhal Village-Erzurum. Early in the morning we will start driving to Erzurum. The transfer takes us about 5hrs. Including a break near Tortum waterfalls. Before check in the hotel we will enjoy the historical side of the city. A few mosques from different civilizations are really nice to see. Erzurum is one of the most important cities in Eastern Anatolia for its history, geographical position and development. Overnight in the hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Erzurum. Transfer to airport for the flight to Istanbul.
