Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Douala and overnight. Day 2: Douala - Abong – Mbang via Yaounde and overnight. Day 3: Abong – Mbang - Lomie - Pygmy camp. Interesting aspects of the pygmy life to be learnt: housing pattern, family structure, eating habits, folklore and dance. Overnight in tents or hotel at Lomie. Day 4: Spend the whole day trekking with Pygmies in the forest and learn their hunting techniques, traditional medicines, and how they master the forest environment, so much that some of them can trek over hundreds of kilometers without using any scientific apparatus such as GPS or compass. Return to town for overnight in hotel. Day 5: Trekking in the forest with Pygmies while discovering the unique rain forest species of plants, insects, birds and some mammals to a lesser extent, because they are very rare, especially gorillas whose population has greatly reduced because of too much poaching. Overnight in the forest (camping). Day 6: Return from the forest and proceed to Yaounde. Overnight in a hotel. Day 7: Visit the Mefou National Park, where there are gorillas, chimpanzees and other mammals in captivity and semi-captivity. Return in Yaounde and proceed to Douala. End of the tour. Notes: Prices:
