Our sightseeing tours in Marlborough aim to cover as much ground as possible and the two-day adventure tour is no exception. We include exploration of the Awatere Valley on most of our sightseeing tours as it has such an interesting history. See and find out more about its transformation from pastoral farming to vineyards and its role in Marlborough's history.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Morning tea (fresh farm style baking) is hosted on a farm in the Awatere before we continue on a gradual ascent past remote farms and stations, and into Molesworth Station. Fresh Bread for morning tea Lunch in picnic style and we have time to explore the early pioneer dwellings and hear a few of the old tales. You will enjoy soaking up the magnificent views, clear skies and atmosphere of Molesworth, Marlborough and New Zealand's largest farm.
Overnight in the picturesque Hanmer Springs thermal resort, where you can relax in the therapeutic hot pools, breath the mountain air, enjoy local food and enjoy wandering through the shops in the township.
Day 2: We journey to Lake Tennyson, the beech forest of Rainbow Valley and return to Blenheim through the Wairau wine valley by early evening.
