Your Itinerary: Day 1: Departing Blenheim at 9.00 am. Enjoy exploring the lower part of the Awatere Valley with its changing land use and interesting history. Morning tea is hosted on a farm, then continue on a gradual ascent past remote farms and stations till we enter into Molesworth Station. Stop for a picnic lunch and time to explore the early pioneer dwellings. This tour overnights in Hanmer Springs thermal resort where you can relax in the therapeutic hot pools, breathe in the mountain air, or enjoy some shopping. Day 2: Departing Hanmer Springs at 8.00 am. Travel through the rugged inland Kaikoura route. Whale watch commences 10.00 am. Enjoy a picnic lunch after your whale watch tour and the return drive to Blenheim along the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway, with time for stops at various interesting places. Notes:
