Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Huaraz - Chiquian - Llamac(full day tour) the trail head Llamac. After the breakfast in the hotel early in the morning we will aboard our private bus, and leave to south side Huaraz passing for different small and typical towns of Recuay 3400, Ticapampa 3470, Catac 3640 and the small village Pachacoto 3700. From here we値l leave the high way and continue in the east side surrounded by a lot of straw and we will start enjoying the beautiful landscape that matches the blue sky and the darked green hills and far from here the snow peaked white mountains will match the landscape, the first touristic place that we will appreciate will be the Patococha lake, after it we値l get in to the national park and we値l find the gasified water from Pumapampa, a few kilometer from here we値l make stop in a small colored lake called Pumapashimin that Changes its colors caused by solar radiation. At the same time we値l be next to the big Bromeliads called Puyas Raymondi and we値l come back to Pachacoto to continue to Chiquian. Once we have gotten Conococha we will take the east high way a few kilometers, then from Mojon we start going down zigzag trail until Chiquian. Arriving aprox at 1 pm. for Lunch after we will continue to Llamac (3 hours driving)going-up along the Llamac river until the peasant town Llamac which lies at 3300 masl. Here will be our first camping in the football field of Llamac. All meals will be provided for our mountain personals. Includes: (L), (D).

Day 2: Llamac - Cuartelhuain (7 or 8 hours walking) no pass. Our breakfast will be at 7am to be ready at 8am to start the trekking. We値l continue going-up through the Pocpa valley, and there痴 a peasant town typical called Pocpa 3600 the last town in this Valley where we can buy some soda drinks for the sunny way, after a few hours trekking approx. At 1 pm we値l have been arrived to Pallca where we値l have lunch. From here 2 or 3 hours we値l get our camping place Matacancha at 4100 masl. From here we値l appreciate the Ninashanca Mountain 5607 masl, Rondoy 5870 masl. Overnight camping. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Cuartelhuain - Mitucocha (7 hours walking) Cacananpunta Pass 4700 masl. In the morning after the breakfast we値l get ready our things and at 8 am we値l start our trek, this time it痴 going to be a bit difficult because the climbing to the pass will take us about 2 or 3 hours. From the pass we値l go down then we値l go-up approx 30 minutes, we値l have lunch after the small climb, We値l take the alternative trail to get early the camping place and not for walking the same route the next day, in this route the passengers will appreciate the Andean rabbits called Vizcachas. Followed to catch by local citizens by its tasteful meat, so once we have arrived to our camping place early we値l have time to go fishing around the lake while our cook prepares the dinner. We will camp at 4200 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Mitucocha - Carhuachocha (6 or 7 hours walking) Carhuac Pass 4650 masl. As always after our breakfast and packing our things, we値l start our trekking at 8 am today it is going to be easy. After 3 hours walking we値l reach the pass where we値l have lunch, We値l walk always enjoying the white peaked mountains such as Yerupaja, Jirishanca, and Siula, we値l get our camp place approx at 3 or 4 pm. We値l be surprised by a beautiful lake, keeping the mountain痴 silhouettes green colored, so we will have prepared our camp place in the special place facing to the lake. we will have camped at 4138 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: Carhuachocha - Huayhuash (6 or 7 hours walking) Carnicero pass 4600 masl. At 8 am after breakfast we start our trekking, relaxed after the rest day before, after going-up approx for one hour we値l get easy trail even going-up but not so difficult to get the Carnicero Pass at 4600, after the pass there are scenic places to have lunch next to the Carnicero lakes, from here a few kilometers going-down we値l arrive to our camping place, that痴 just next to the Jurau Lake or Huayhuash, Peru Bergsport always use this place due to its scenic, beautiful place faced to the beautiful mountains. We値l have camped here at 4350 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 6: Huayhuash - Viconga(6 or 7 hours walking) Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass 4750 masl. After the breakfast we値l continue our trekking. Easy going-up to the Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass. From here we値l go-down to the camp place Viconga to have lunch, and after it, go to the hot springs 20 minutes walking down from the camp place, the others who don稚 want go to the hot springs will have free afternoon and rest in the camp place. The camp place will be at 4450 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Viconga - Huanacpatay (7 or 8 hours walking) Punta Cuyoc Pass 5000 masl. This day we値l have moderate going-up to the highest pass in our whole trip, but the going-up will take us approximately 3 hours, so this time it will be enjoyable because the Cuyoc Mountain will be closer to us, we have reached the highest pass in our trekking the only one, after to get this pass we will go-down the Guanacpatay valley to have lunch, going-down from the pass is very dust and rocky after it, we値l reach the beautiful field full of grass to walk; where we will have lunch, after few hours walking we値l find our camping place in the peaceful Valley of Guanacpatay at 4300 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 8: Huanacpatay - Huayllapa (6 or 7 hours walking) no pass, go down 600 meters. Departure at 8 am, this time will be easy for the trekkers due to all going down only. Stopping for the lunch at the joining of Huayllapa river and Guanacpatay river, after we have to walk along the Huayllapa river rocky trail until Huayllapa village. Huayllapa is the small isolated peasant village lies at 3700 maasl. Citizens from this village made this small town even not having electricity or car trail arriving, so you can wonder how they made this village that now there is a school, first aid medical house? You値l have the answer visiting this village, we値l camp in the football field in the middle of this town, here the small Andean shops will provide us soda drinks, bears, and first house necessities. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: Huayllapa - Cashpapampa (5 hours walking up and 2 hours going down) Tapush pass 4800 masl. This time we値l have a bit difficult to go-up to the Tapush pass, after to get the pass, we will walk down easy trail, we will arrive to the camp place early a bit tired. From here we will feel that we are almost round the Huayhuash trekking, over night at 4600 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 10: Cashpapampa - Jahuacocha (5 or 6 hours walking) Yaucha Pass 4800. After breakfast as always in the morning we値l start our trekking moderate going-up to the Yaucha Pass, in two hours we値l stay in the pass, after to rest for making pictures, we値l continue going down along the Huacrish ravine for approx two or three hours, and suddenly we値l be surprised by a beautiful panoramic landscape. The Jahuacocha lake in the base of the mountains Jirishanca, Yerupaja, and Rondoy, beautiful green color lake that lies at 4066 masl. Where is our camp place, from our camp place we can enjoy the spectacular avalanches coming down from the base of the mountains Jirishanca.

Next to our camp, we値l find a typical Mountain hut for sheepherders; and his owner Mr Delao Huaranga will receive us with a gentle treating just being friendly or to offer us the cool bear and soda waters. It痴 hard to find at this altitude the famous Coca Cola but tourists can find here in Mr Delao痴 Humble hut, that he sells to the visitors or to people who camp in Jahuacocha, of course the tourists who want to know more about the Jahuacocha and the mountains Mr Delao Huaranga will provide the information and tourists enjoy asking for the lifestyle in the mountain as Mr Delao Huaranga痴 living with his lot of sheep. Overnight in Jahuacocha at 4066 masl. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Jahuacocha - Rest and visit Solterococha at 4066 masl. This day is for free tour our guide will explain the tourists many alternatives, as fishing, go to the upper lake Solterococha, walk round the lakes, stay at the lake washing, etc. The passengers will have coordinated the day before to provide the box lunch and others. Our staff will prepare the dinner of success of this trekking. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 12: Jahuacocha - Llamac (6 or 7 hours walking) Pampa Llamac pass 4300. This time we will feel that we have to leave the most beautiful long trekking, we値l go-up easy walking to the Pampallamac place where we値l say good bye to the Huayhuash Mountains, a few meters down we値l have lunch, after resting for a few minutes we値l go-down to Llamac town arriving at 3 or 4 pm approx. At the football field, but as we have camped in our first day of trekking we already have rounded the Huayhuash circuit, from here for the next day we値l walk the same way that we have walked at the beginning of the trek, overnight at Llamac 3300 masl visited by local kids asking us for sweets or candies. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 13: Llamac - Chiquian - Huaraz(7 or 8 hours walking) no pass 100 meters gain. After our last night of camping, we値l leave Llamac town at 8 am in the morning. This is the hometown from our donkey drivers Justino Basilio and his Staff, they will provide us the additional information about the lifestyles, traditional customs, farming, handcrafts. Llamac is the town even unknown in the handicrafts.

Here Mrs. Rosario Huaranga Mr Justino Basilio痴 wife, and daughter of Mr Delao Huaranga from Jahuacocha, provide the tourists or interested visitors the wool blankets and sheets or other fabrics made by hand and dyed with natural colors from the plants, this handcraft is the original no mixed with synthetic wools as in the other regions, the most beautiful and typical in the whole Peru Ponchos from wool, most tourists ask for original and typical with natural colors of Ponchos. We値l leave aboard our bus to Huaraz at 9 am from Llamac, along the llamac river until Timpoc where the llamac river and the pacllon river joins, and from here we値l start going-up to Chiquian along the Ainin river, arriving to Chiquian at 1pm approx, the passengers will be transferred to the Restaurant to have lunch in Chiquian at 3400 masl. after in 3 hours driving we will be in Conocoha pass 4500 masl, we値l have arrived to Huaraz at 7 pm. in Huaraz. Includes: (B), (L).
